I like the shuttleport idea very much - I often log in the middle of no where. Not because my buffs have run out, but because its past midnight and I have to be up at 5 am. Then the next day I either die as I load in (free trip to the shuttleport yay!) or I have to speederbike my way back to civilization. You can add a litle more justification for the idea under the fact that it is just another form of terrrain negotiation! The instant kind!

I also like the group cohesiveness aspect. Being able to facilitate any group activity helps give you a "leader" role in group hunts.

The only negative aspect I can think of is that you will see (r)angers charging admission all around the villiage. But heck. I'd pay it.

Just carry around a generic house deed with you. Think of it as a "solid camp"

LOL.. the lag is bad enough as it is now. Unless your machine is one power eating beast I know I see the lag alone in the towns and on major spawning grounds. You actually want to create more of it? How long did it take them to upgrade the waiting time on shuttles to 5minutes and how long have shuttles been a part of the game? I am figuring they did not make the improvement in 1 week. I am sure easy shuttling does give some people a fighting chance to stay alive. Well so does vehicular transportation, want to update that too?

Now how are you going to attract crowds to your camp I mean buffs relieve that neccessity, if you can call it that. Some people like to discuss the chances of fixing broken professions while you wish to create new ways to lag down the system and see new errors, hmm? Makes sense to me, I suppose. LOL so who in the world would assocciate Rangers with mini-civilization anyways I am just curious. I figured that a Ranger would be the furthest removed person from that state of being. I guess I am wrong now by your determination on attracting crowding to your out-of-town mini-cities. Just my opinions you folks enjoy the wilderness out home away from home!!

I do like the idea, though I don't think it is particularly practical what would be better more reasonable for a shuttle port from your camp would be say an Emergency Escape Pod, they could make it a one use item. And very expensive to make. They could also perhaps instead of making it go to a Spaceport or Shuttleport, instead pull up the Map when you go to use it and you can drop it anywhere on the planet as long as its 1000m outside a Cities Borders, that way you couldn't use it to Land Yourself inside a Cantina.

They could let say 8 People fit inside the "Escape Pod" which when the CU hits will be the Normal Group Max. It wouldn't be as useful as a Shuttleport Camp but its an all together more plausable idea.

I do like most people wish I could have a Shuttle Port to leave from near the Jedi Village, Dathomir is an annoying Planet. I'd gladly pay 5,000 Credits for such a convienience.

I have alot of Ideas on how I think certain thing coud change for the better. When I have time to fully formulate my "Proposals" etc I will do so.

This idea might make more sense now that buffs are getting nerfed.

So how does this differ from the "med-evac" idea?
Altho I really don't see a use for this, other than "oh golly gee, my buff ran out, lemme go get a new one". Lame excuse for a shuttle.
In all actuality, who hunts that far out, and for such a long period of time, that buffs run out? Unless you die, most people tire of hunting first. And if you die, oh well, life sucks, then you clone.
Much ado about nothing useful.

I gotta agree with JBMat on this one. Hunts that last 2-3 hours are generally long enough most people stop going to them any more. I mean, after buffs run out - people are generally done hunting. Also, if people are hunting that far out, then most likely they can get back to the starport the same way they came in.

For me, although this idea is nice don't get me wrong - it's a little too much at this point. Personally, I would rather see us get modular tents, where we can build components to put into the tent (or get stuff from other professions if we so desire). For example, a medical type tent what has an "auto healing droid" to heal wounds. I would also like to see experiments come back into crafting of ranger items too - based on perhaps UT/OQ on hide/bone to have a good chance, that when we disband a camp, that it just takes it down (places back in inventory) instead of us losing it - this would be great for the most expensive modular tents available.

I would also rather see better traps for us as well - more of them (with better stat control), better high level AOE traps, and so on. Traps are the most used thing by me in game, since the traps help me because I'm a CH/Ranger, and my critters do most of the tanking, the traps help to get some stat effects on enemies so my pet stays alive longer - but we need better and more traps. I would also like to see experimentation in traps too - in such a way that maybe UT/OQ really make it so that you can get longer lasting traps (more number), or maybe added stat effects on a trap.

I would rather see the two above ideas brought up before shuttleports, since shuttleports I doubt will be used by many, except a way to stop hunting and go direclty to a star port instead of riding back.
