If your TK carbine pistols get a tank droid. or a med droid. youll ne that more.
I'm personally starting to like storage droids a lot. I have way too much stuff and no alt to shove it on so the extra space really is nice.
Same here.

Do I see a common thread here, that a lot of other Rangers think harvesting droids aren't worth the explosives to blow them up?
I have a probot (lvl 19 to help kick up mission levels in groups) that is used for NPC missions. 3 tank droids, as I switch between them at times to give the others time to repair. A storage/medical/craft station droid, actually the most useful droid I own at times.
Notice, no harvesting droids.
I own a pet. Dunno when the last time was I rode him. Quicker to run, or use one of my swoops or AV-21.
If my astromech counts against me, I will give away one of the tanks.
Technology is great, as long as it works. For all you guys using a harvestor, I have a great deal on some 8 track players you can install on them.

Darth Marksman, are you still having trouble or did you figure this out? My advice is to play around with all the options on the droids radial menu until you are comfortable with them.
I like harvest droids a lot (Yes, I'm a Riflewook too!). When I find some nice sniping ground I hate having to get up and run to the corpse to harvest and then run back get back into sniping position... it just takes some of the fun out. You have to get used to keeping an eye on the little guy (they spook easily), and also remember to change its target interest if you start shooting at something that had a different type of resource then you've been harvesting.
My wishes for droids were that they gave a bigger bonus, and that you could teach it three different commands for harvesting. I'd rather be able to tell it to getmeat, getbone, or gethide then constantly have to reprogram it.
As for the Corvette, I think we unanimously decided that it is best done nekkid and at top speed! You can also play fun games like "whats under the Corsec's skirt?" "How many SBDs can dance on the head of a twi'lek?" and "Incap Leapfrog!"

It's too bad CHs can't train any of those monkey creatures to harvest. Like the shaupaut or purbole. That would be cool. Of course, they wouldn't harvest as much as a droid, but it would still be cool to have a monkey harvesting your kills.

Hehe. Mine tends to take off to the corner of the radar for no particular reason even when I don't have him in group. Nothing chases him - he just runs off and I have to call him back to the harvest. My hypothesis is that he gets hit with area attacks, like an area bleed, and runs for it even though the aggro animal is attacking my pet and not the droid. /shrug Maybe I just got a cowardly one.
Arfur, my harvester, used to run off at the slightest sign of trouble, grouped or ungrouped. He's since been retired and replaced by an LE repair bot who seems to be too stupid to run off. Dammit, he kept slugging away at the geocave. Last I saw him he was face down in the dirt with a couple of Geo's tapdancing round him and laughing.

My droid only ends up getting aggro when I have him in group. Out of group, everything ignores him quite fine. ![]()
