Nah, not likely. +25 requires a special mastery of the ubiquitous complaint post. And I was really impressed by the semicolon; that is a bold undertaking not usually seen in these parts.

why on earth would I read the Scout forums?


Honestly, this was never a game-breaking issue for me. I can just not use mask scent on most planets and seeing as how most critters are sub-80, I'm usually fine. I'm not complaining, they did fix something that was on a list...but I can think of alot of things I would rather have them work on.


So hey, more power to them for fixing stuff. But considering what they chose to work on wasn't game-breaking, and they managed to break the only droid we use in the process, I retain my right to be a negative nancy until next publish. or until they hotfix this stuff.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

The guidence they gave us was "a large portion of my profession is not working because of ______." Maskscent is a large portion of the Scout profession. Not having it be usable on certain planets, having it actually cause aggro, was something I considered game-breaking as far as using that skill went. From the number of negative nancy posts I saw on the subject I assumed most people felt the same way. I appologize if I was wrong. Please tell me (everyone) what you think is a game-breaking bug for Scouts and I promise I will focus on it.

I have been told that adhesive mesh will not be fixed while it is possible to spam traps. So right now my top two issues are the camps disbanding issue and the traps can be spammed issue. If you guys think that there are other issues that take precedence over these two please let me know on the bug thread. In the meantime I am very sorry for letting you down.

Paks rules, nice job getting Mask Scent fixed. I knew having you as scout correspondant would be fricken awesome! Better than sharks with lasers I tell you!

I would agree that adhesive mesh being broken should be the number 1 post. Personally I don't see the problem with them being spammed. So you root something, it can't really get MORE rooted with another trap can it? Can you theoretically reduce a speed value to less than zero? I'm sure that causes some sort of time travel or something.

I've only seen the camp thing happen once. I'd put that as number two, especially as useful as camps are right now, being mission critical and everything. Sure it's a quarter of our profession, but it's an underused and less useful quarter than traps are.

You didn't let anybody down, something got fixed

I wasn't even aware that you can spam traps but why would that even be an issue? The Mesh and the P-dart are the only traps that are worth throwing. So I can unleash root/snare hell... why is that an issue? Both states last XX seconds and it's not like root stacks, lol.

Who let who down? You got a bug fixed! These days, round these parts, that should be cause for celebration.

Nice to get a straight answer on the ad-mesh, even if it's a 'look it's not getting fixed, go worry about something else'.

YEAH PAKS!


I realize how horribly negative my posts have been, and I really don't mean to come off like that.
I'm very glad that something that was on your bug list got fixed. That is an awesome sign. Whether that issue would've made my top 3 is unimportant. The fact is, it was there, it got fixed, and it's clear they're going to fix bugs. You succeeded at doing what you're here to do: be the mamawook to an entire profession.


I'm actually not entirely convinced the news about Ad Mesh is bad, either. Look at the CHs. They didn't fix the bugs in the old system, because they realized it would be pointless-- they were adding a whole new system. Perhaps (and I do so hesitate to sound optimistic) the reason they're not fixing ad-mesh is the same-- there's a whole new system in the works.
