Thread: Hide orders to rangers and prices?????
Here's the issue. Maybe that Lokian leathery wasn't worth 40 cpu based on stats. But maybe at the same time, there's a shift of Dantooine herbivore meat that is selling for 40 cpu. That ranger would have to quit hunting Dant herb to go hunt your Lok leathery and give up the revenue he would have made on the meat. Hence the high price.
My time in the game is somewhat limited, and while I like to hunt for meat and hide, I like to do other things, too. So I usually use my hunting timeonly forhigh-end resources that will sell for 40-50 cpu or more. (The most I ever got was fora big stack ofuber leathery hide thatwas onlyin for a few days—200 cpu.) If somebody asks me for grind resources, unless they're a guildie or I owe them a favor, they're probably going to have to pay through the nose to make it worth my while.

a little while ago i asked a ranger for some hide prices, what he sent back nearly gave me a heartattack. for example i asked for a price on 10,000 lokian leathery hides with no oq requirements as they where for practicng and gaining xp and was quoted 400,000 credits. To me this seemed like he was trying to rob me so with a friend i headed off to lok and we spend 3 hours doing gurk missions and harvested the 10k of hides ourselfs while also gaining about 250k weapon xp and about 80,000 credits each.
When i sell resources my price is based on the statistics, when i craft something price is based on the ammount of resources taken to make it. Taking resources for instance, the highest oq,sr and mal steel to make the best armour sells for around 4 cpu so my question to rangers in general is was this price a fair price for what i was asking and if so how do you justify it?
