Calc, just get Bresnan for cable and internet. I think they got a special running right now if you get both digital cable and the cable modem. My roommate has digital cable and I just split the cable line for my TV (no cable box) and my computer.
Bresnan works decently.

DARN YOU!!!! I called Bresnan to ask about their DVR and now they are coming on Monday to install it and digital cable. OY! It will cost me $10 a month more (thank goodness for package deals
), so I figured, what the hey.
I think I will test the DVR on the OC....![]()

lol, nevermind, I just went to double-check. I pay 30, she pays 65 for digital cable + all the HBO + Starz Channels.
The high speed internet was a special, I thought she told me she paid 30 for the cable.
So yeah, in total we pay about the same-- $95 bucks. and if you're paying that much, what's another 10 bucks to record all your favorite shows, really?

Time Warner is a ripoff. Road Runner my fanny.
We have Time Warner in Saratoga, and my mom has all that stuff. Don't let them rip you off by charging you for a wireless network though. You can buy a Linksys system from Best Buy and tell them you only have 1 computer now. Since all the computers will have the same IP address, they don't know any better. I know some people that got their wireless gear from Time Warner themselves and they get charged extra for having more than one computer.

In 2000 i paid 81k for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 25 year old twin with central air thats near a major highway but not close enough to hear it. I was pretty darned pleased with that buy. Now these twins are worth 120k. And if i go 5 miles to the east it would be worth 170-200k easily.
Weird market
(embarces his real estate license.. think its time i use it to sell)

Considering i have a 35x100 lot. Im thinking an addition is out. And housing values here are just moving at to fast a clip. When the bubble burst there are going to be a lot of home owners who are used to moving but wont be able to. The markets so hyper-overvalued.
IM going to sell real estate. Bank the money as i get sales. Buy a plot of land 2-5 acres in size. Then drop a house on it. I need a bigger house now that number 3 is on the way. I dont really have much of a choice in the matter.
We have a lot of pre-manufactured home builders out here. And some of the two story ones are quite impressive. It kills resale but lowers upfront costs and I can specify whatever i want. Like having CAT6 in every room.
Although to be honest I keep thinking about moving to the midwest
