I'm a little behind on that one, I think. Are Dylan and Brenda still dating? That Luke Perry sure is dreamy.

Well, as much as I want to see the trailer, I'm not going to be tricked into watching that heaping pile of a show.
I can almost guarantee that it will be saved for the very last commercial break. (So they can increase their advertising rates to others who buy time during that show, claiming increased ratings). Unless they plan to air it multiple times, or in every commercial break, I think it's safe to say you'll see it if you tune in the last 10-15 minutes.
Still, that's 15 minutes too long for me. I'll tape it on the VCR (Tivo impaired)

It was either Tivo or another account for me. Where I live, we still have the option to have non-digital cable, and I think you need the digital signal to get Tivo, correct? So, that's a minimum of $10 a month to add digital cable and an additional $12ish (last time I checked) to get the Tivo
.

No you dont need a digital signal to get TiVO. To get an all in one intregrated box you would need the digitial TiVO. You just do TiVO the old fashioned way. Remember there is a monthly charge for TiVO. And i pay it with a smile trust me. TV isnt the same without it.
Oh yeah and having the premier during OC makes all the sense in the world. What self respecting geek isnt into primetime soaps? Anyone Anyone!? Just more proof that Lucas has gone off the deep end.

you can get a tivo fairly cheap now, and there is either a monthly charge or a one time, lifetime charge.
Its great because you can set it up to record your favorite programs that the sci-fi channel cancelled and only show at 3am now (FARSCAPE)
while you dont need digital to get TiVo, there are other options that it has... such as, if you have a wireless network in your house, you can listen to music and view pics from your computer on your TV. And the new thing is you can record shows from your Tivo to your hard drive.
Ive had a tivo for 3 years now, and i watch tv on my time now, and its so much better. Plus, whenever Jack Bauer screams "who are you working for?" or "where's the bomb?" or "where's my car keys?" you can rewind it and play it again.

2 questions:
- You can use the wireless stuff without the digital signal, right? I think I missed a transition statement somewhere.
- Do you work for TiVo?

Yes, you dont need digital cable or a digital signal to use the wireless, what you need is a wireless adaptor that plugs via usb into the back of the tivo box, then you add the tivo to your network and BAM!! cool stuff happens.
I dont (although that would be a very cool gig) but my friend does work for Tivo. Which is how i got hooked on it.
