Giant Dune Kimogilas are found around the volcano on Lok (POI: Adi's Rest).
though, like I said, you should really practice a lot before you go try these things solo.
Outstanding guide.
My only point of contention - In a group, sneak in a few L darts now and then to dizzy the creature and add to the damage that is done.

perhaps you mean like....this?:
Traps in groups are actually a great tactic to use. Whereas solo, your non-snare traps (blind/dizzy/stun/defense reducing traps) are useless, in a group, the combined damage that gets added against very tough enemies such as Ancient Krayts is actually worth the time. By making you the person who applies the states, you can let the rest of your groupfocus on their most damaging attacks, which will make the creature die a lot faster. The best traps to use are going to be the glow wire trap (reduces melee and ranged defense), the bone spur (reduces the damage a creature can do and also slightly reduces their defense) and the Lecapine dart (reduces their defense, slightly reduces their damage output). Also, remember to use Phecnacine darts to help somebody out if they need to get away, or if you don’t have a tank.

I'm not gonna lie, JB. Ya taught me a lot of what I know, so a lot of this stuff can be acredited to you.
I'm glad everyone seems to like this. I tried to add a few subliminal hints about the state of Rangers in there as well, making sure people knew that we have no defense, no speed, and none of our traps work solo, and the adhesive mesh is broken. By the way, I also posted this in the game guides section and I managed to get Virrago to post there, which is always fun, as Virrago has some very cool smileys, which he uses with reckless abandon.
and a Dev or Moderator post brings in more traffic due to the Dev Tracker and Moderator Tracker Stalkers.

So, with new inspiration i went soloing out in the deserts of Shady Sands on my own and took down som Cannibal Drewbacks (Great Hunter Quest phase 1) and took out some ten of them; no armor off course, unbuffed apart from foraged food and inspiration buff, same combat level and same weapons. They were all yellow coded and red center dots. In three cases i took some damage the rest none. No mobbing !
Before i couldJUST about handle blue coded non aggi critters !
Thought i would mention it to illustrate how this huide helped me.

Yeah, I was going to put that down as another tactic to be used as part of our repetoire, but I haven't tried it out as much post-cu. Pre-CU I could solo a krayt unbuffed/unarmored as a TKM by dragging a Krayt through some Banthas and letting them attack him to draw aggro and healing up then. But with the new hate system, they'll do damage, but they won't draw aggro for you. Still, I'll update this guide and put that in there at some point.
Having them do damage is enough. As long as you keep the target snared, you're shiny. The added creature damage completely negates your target's health regenin addition tohelping you whittle them down. I don't hunt the big bads without 'volunteer' backup. I just don't use mereks or arachnes on endor if I can help it-- they're just as likely to turn on me as they are the gorax. I think all the 'stalking' types, grey con or not, will attack you if you hang around them long enough. Like, say, the time it takes to kill a giant force monkey.
