Yeah, it's all YOUR fault Calc....



J/K. I'm just glad (?) I wasn't crazy, it looks like AI is definitely "busted" in places. Not convinceced it was traps tho, and sound here like it may or may not be traps. I've not yet been able to reproduce it tho, so whatever is causing it is definitely strange...

There's definitely a lot wrong with combat in general nowadays. Occasionally animals will get stuck kd'd, they'll warp at you once you drop a trap or shoot at them, and the problem you discussed above will also occur. I've had it happen a few times with traps trying to lure them out and it's quite annoying. Not to mention the whole "lair-inandout-ofcombat" bug right now continues to make attacks on animals soon thereafter rather difficult in terms of the qeued attacks you've set up against them. Seems to hamper traps more so at times.

I soloed all the way thru the Master of both pro's .. and I found out that this happens when the mob is a protector of the laair mostlly but sometimes not .. When I hit on and this happens .. I will pull the next mob and clear the area till the one is the only mob left ..

Then I send in pets and try to kill it that way ..


I pull with Glow Wire and then Flash when they get on top of me while pets do there work .. I seldom get hit and mostlly never get adds


Good luck on this bug .. OR mabe it is like I said the protectors . I have seen this happen wwhen they are mending the nest.


Thats what I always thought anyway heh . I never had any problem solo thru all my temp in a month or 2 just having fun and hunting ..

It's definitely not just traps. It's a somewhat random occurence where some creatures and NPCs just decide to stop doing anything. It does not seem especially lag related (I'll see it in laggy and non laggy areas with similar frequency) although it's rare enough that it is hard to tell. But it's definitely not just with traps or only with creatures.

And here I was thinking my LD-1 with my + Ranged distance arms had given me some kind of "Creature Dumbfound" special attack that wasnt listed in game.

I've seen this happen using traps on creatures and using /concealshot on NPCs.


Sometimes they will just stand and not approach, sometimes I draw aggro from a nearby creature/NPC.

I seriously think it is because the NPC AI is not loaded until either you are close enough, or they have existed long enough. I have shot at creatures 65 meters away from me and they did not move. I have shot at CL 1's outside Cnet (creatures, still) and they just kept moving around, never attacking. I have aggro'd creatures with /sampleDNA and they never attacked me.


This should be looked into. I am hoping a Dev (Thunderheart, perhaps?) can post here and state that they appreciate our information and will look into this, possibly putting out a hotfix for it as well.
