When /coneal is applied to a player, he should be removed from the radar of all other players.
This would be a huge boon to Rangers, who like Creature Handlers and Squad Leaders, are needing a bone tossed their way by the devs about now. This would suddenly make Rangers instantly popular again, I'd think. It would give pvp players the ability to actually sneak around, instead of being a huge red blip on their enemy's radar, and would also make combat much more frantic and strategic than the old 'look at radar, spin around and use /tab lock-on, annihilate Ranger' that we're used to.
Seems all they give a damn about these days is marketing the game by pumping up Jedi and ignoring the rest of us.

For all ideas like this, please see Fredericks post on stealth.
(i.e. this isn't a new idea and we've been batting it around for months)

Hm, I don't mind cheaters at all... if Sony bans their account #, CD Key, and credit card number as soon as they're caught. One strike and you're out would fix that problem... if Sony had the stones to back up their own intellectual properties. How many thousands of dollars change hands on Ebay every week when people sell in-game properties, for example? To be honest, I don't think they care - they'd rather have cheaters and thieves paying their $15 a month than lose that $15 a monthby maintaining theintegrity of the gamefor their other players by banning such useless pricks from their servers.
That's what I love about online games, including mmorpgs. There's always a small segment of the gaming population with such hopeless coping skills, such massive losers in real life, that they can'tdeal with not being the best in their cyberworld fantasy, since their real world isso completely worthless. So they cheat, and powergame, and piss and whine constantly about the next guy, who's just as likely to have used *better tactics* than to have the better profession... but they can't get that, either. Thus, the fun is ruined for everybody else, and I for one am sick of companies pandering to pathetic eunuch cheaters and liars instead of going on ahead without considering them, and cracking the whip down on their pathetic asses when they're caught.
I commend Blizzard as one such company that's never put up with cheating pricks - they ban those f'ers permanently, and I think it's awesome.
But that could just be me
Anyway, another good idea fighting for life because the programmers are more worried about cheaters - and having to slap them on the wrist -than making the game actually fun.
No sugar-coating here
Whew, I feel better getting that rant off of my chest - and I'll go check out that link you mentioned above
