Not really... You can only put what? 24 items on ALL possible vendors for sale unless your a Merchant? That alone will keep it from effecting the Merchants much. I have one I made Master Merchant in like 2 weeks with 1 Resource vendor in Theed mall and the rest in a single building for Ranger stuff.

I've gone the partnership route.
and my partner has taken it one further.
seems there's a Bounty Hunter who does a LOT of harvesting... also with no vendor.
so my partner is gonna manage the vendors, and do flora farming... the BH handles the ores and stuff... and I handle theBio.
we shall see.
I just need the cash, and to start making the sales. I know people know about my vendor, I've had some of the more famous Armorsmiths stop by, so they know I'm there. it's just a VERY slow start. but I have patience.

I've been thinking about this as well and one other thought for driving traffic to the shop occured to me the other day. Ask you local mayor to place a Scout and Ranger Trainer next to the shop. I read up on Trainers and they only cost 1,000 credits to place and 1,500 a week for the city to maintain. So I figure that at the worst, you could pay the mayor (by way of cost recovery not bribery :smileywink
the 79,000 credits needed to place the trainer outside your shop for a year. That should make you the center of Scout and Ranger activity for kilometers around.

That's a brilliant idea! I never thought of it... brilliant.

I've always wondered can you place Ranger Trainers? Than would be extra cool next to a Scout Trainer.

If you're the mayor of a city, you can place an NPC trainer for any basic or elite profession. I don't think they show up on the planet map though (except by name). I can't remember if they show up in the overhead map either.
