Thread: HB 111 Droid still worth every credit
Sorry for going off. Thanks for your help. In the future I will make sure to be more specific when describing groups and droids.

Group(Me and Probot) me (tracking 3) 49 units of bone
Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks

I agree too, me and my fighter have been harvesting insane amounts of stuff, quickly and efficiently.
I am not crawling in the mud like a slug, nor do I have to keep telling the tin can what to do - "guard" works just fine.
I am preaching to the unknowing tho. Poor rifles, they will learn eventually.

Master rifleman here, I've got two adv R3's, one pure harvest, one pure combat. I've tried with both.
The trick is to get the harvestordroid to stay with the creatures and not run back to you all the time. The combat droid isa nice tank, but it's very costly having to repair it all the time, especially when my harvestor never gets a scratch and the things I'm hunting don't know I'm there until they're dead.
So, overall, in terms of time and cost, I think harvestors are much more efficient than combats.

Pyrewolf I never said my probot droid was my harvester. I am a novice ch, which means two pets out at the same time. So in my group was me and my probot. Outside of my group was my harvesting droid (yes advanced R3) which is +117.
Just curious, when grouped with your probot was it giving you the 20% group bonus? We tried grouping with pets on TC and received no bonus.

I was confused by the later statement:
Pyrewolf wrote:Here's what I think is happening: you receive a bonus to harvest from being in a group. Your droid (ungrouped) receives no bonus. Your droid's harvest is calculated based on what your ungrouped harvest would be, and should be slightly higher than your ungrouped harvest. Try grouping with your harvest droid to see if it gets a bonus. My guess is that it's a bug if it doesnt. I doubt the devs would intend for the droid to be rendered useless by the new group harvest bonus.
But the group Railen was in consisted of another droid (probot). I don't think the grouped probot would give the 20% bonus, therefore the 117 R3 harvesting less shouldn't have anything to do with the bonus. However, when we tested the group-with-pet thing we only tested with an AT-ST. Maybe the grouping bonus does work for other types of pets? Or maybe I am just misunderstanding the thread.
You and a Droid are never a group, well cept for XP and pulling missons like 1% better than you could by your self. If you ever though for a second that you would get the 20% group bonus from any droid -=please stop, find your anti-tard pills and take a double dose, you seen to have missed one=-
Ok there does seem to be a bug where if you use a droid that would give you a small bonus in a group, you miss out on the group bonus.
Its not hard even for a smack-tard like me to be clear, you just have to try a bit. I'll demonstrate - The reason I tested my droid this way and posted my results is, someone pissing and moaning abut droids not working right in groups made it sound like now no droid would harvest the same as or more than a Master Ranger solo. They mentioned the old theory that to get a bonus from droids it had to have a higher rating than your creature harvesting mod. The "logic" would look like this; no droid is better than 120, a Master ranger is 150, best droid < Master = droids never give a Master a bonus. We now see that this "logic" was wrong.
Thank you, please come again.
Don't worry, no one thinks you are a smacktard.

On the comment about it being costly to repair your Tank all teh time... Get a special one made. His attack wont be as good. But get one with Auto-Repair. Then all you need is battery power and he self heals.
I was under the impression that you had to load those droids with repair packs (similar to loading a medical droid with stims). Am I mistaken?
