Ok I just tested him solo but four lairs of Mountain Worts later I'm a happy ranger. I don't need a bonus I need something to help with the foot work. All you Rilfeman know what I mean.
Solo by hand as a 4/4/4/4 Ranger - 5 x Mountain Worts 58 units.
Solo useing Droid as a 4/4/4/4 Ranger - 2 x Mountain Worts 63 units 3 x 64
Solo by hand as a Master Ranger - 5 x Moutian Worts 75 Units
Solo useing Droid as a Master Ranger - 5 x Mountian Worts 78 Units

oh, yeah.
the droids work GREAT if you're solo.
but with all the new group bonuses, I honestly will be trying to get grouped with guildies when doing hunts.....

15 units makes a droid worth it?
What if the droid was a fighter, and instead of dropping two lairs in 15 minutes you could drop three.
1 lair = 300 units (example)
2*300=600 - add in droid, maybe 650 - be nice 700
3*300=900 with the killer droid
same time spent.
now what's worth it?

Ok guys hehe I posted this becuase some of the stuff said kinda made it seem like they would harvest much less solo now that the Master CHB is 150.
90% percent of groups, Droid = Pain in ass. Not crying that me droid dosn't stack with it.
And in case any one missed it - it's not about the bonus. Much like crafting droids and I'm sure 80% of the people that own Medical droids. When your ideal range is 60 m, your smart to be prone and you can crawl really fast... droids give you this rythem. You become this fusion of man and machine.
Me and my tank droid used to be the same way.. sigh. But I mastered Rifleman and now there are very few things that arn't too small to bother with him, or just plane to big for him to tank. Just a small little window in between. I am sad, and keep trying any way.

I agree too, me and my fighter have been harvesting insane amounts of stuff, quickly and efficiently.
I am not crawling in the mud like a slug, nor do I have to keep telling the tin can what to do - "guard" works just fine.
I am preaching to the unknowing tho. Poor rifles, they will learn eventually.

LoL, I was seduced by AP3 and just the all around DPS. I'm all but speed capped and when I need to be truely capped those new speed stims get me there. Me and a buddy jumped a Giant Canyon Krayt the other day and we both where kinda of in awe of how much damage I did to him before the other one poped out of no where... then the ancient showed up... sigh. If I could just get ONE! lol.

I still like my little droid. Darn thing has personality.
I do have a question though...I know grouping with him (my droid) doesn't make a real "group" as far as harvesting bonus goes but what about a pet? (Master CH)

Droids will always out harvest you if the droid has sufficient level. And if you use food buff the droid will even do better, so add group with that, well you get my point.

Plus I notice much wider difference then you are talking about, but when you are after 20k of a resource that you customer want to pay 100 cpu for, the ranger who doesn't use them are still in the field trying to get 20k and I have already gone in been paid and am harvesting the next 20k for him. That is why you pay for a droid.

I have a 117 droid and, yes, when hunting solo he's still helpful to a lazy ranger/rifleman like myself
But let's face it, when we're going after big missions to get the most resources they direly hurt us. I went out with two friends for a night of Enraged Rancor hunting. With my spiffy (and not-so-cheap) droid I was pulling 250-280 units of hide. Manually I was pulling 450-550. The other scouts (non-rangers) were pulling over 400. Frankly, I like the bonuses to groups, but darn, there's not a huge difference anymore. If there is going to be a max-cap for rangers, the very least the devs can do is still allow the droids to pull that much!

That was not happening with me. I have a 117 harvesting droid. I was killing Fambaa's on Naboo. I sent out the droid to harvest bone, and got 32 bone back. I tried this 4 times with the droid same result. I then harvested bone myself (I have tracking 3) and got 49 bone.
Group(Me and Probot) droid 32 units of bone
Group(Me and Probot) me (tracking 3) 49 units of bone
Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks

Your droid isn't +117.
Advanced probots can hold a max of five modules. Harvest modules cap at +20 each (theoretically; actual cap depends on resources, more like +18-19). An advanced probot has a cap of 90-something with five harvest mods. Check your droid's actual harvest stat on your datapad, then go get a REAL harvest droid (adv. R3).
Edit: try ungrouping as well, see if it makes a difference.

Pyrewolf I never said my probot droid was my harvester. I am a novice ch, which means two pets out at the same time. So in my group was me and my probot. Outside of my group was my harvesting droid (yes advanced R3) which is +117. I can read and yes I can count past 100, so if you want to be helpful next time how about going with what I wrote instead of telling me I am wrong. Thanks
