Well...IMO
These skillssound likeMBH skills...sorry to offend and Im glad you guys got some love. I know I will be getting Master Ranger soon enough. Again Congrats on the upgrades, I guess they were a long time coming.
Rangers are moving into the highly skilled special operations arena. Highly trained elite professional operators.
These new skills aremore Military\Special OPsrelated than bouny hunter related.
Here's my take....
I wanted to be BOTH a Ranger and a MBH since launch. For obvious reasons that was not possible. It always seemed to make more sense to have a "hybrid" of both professions and there were skills that in combo seemed to fit very well. There were also skills that seemed a little useless as well. Now we have a chance to see that hybrid combo become a reaility. I am estatic! Can't wait! All I can say is....let's wait and see what its like before being too hard on the concept.

Excuse my ignorance - What is RLTW?
I wouldn't be surprised if alot of BHs say similar things though. At its heart I don't believe this is BH like, nor does it step on BH toes though.
Would a BH benefit from it though? yeah I think these ranger lines could all generate some positive results to any given BHs style.
Ask a Ranger
RLTW.......all the way

*pssss*... WildBill is a Ranger, long time one, and fairly well respected 'round these parts. Runs the SWGRanger site too. For what it's worth, I figured it out once you posted that, but I wouldn't consider "RLTW" all that common an acronym around these parts (to be honest, it's the first time I've seen it used here). Heck, more folks here probably know what RATGWNIWNU stands for than "RLTW"...

hey thanks CorethLandwalker! lol
I've seen Rangers Lead the Way a million times just never saw it as an acronym - so I didn't catch it haha.
Thanks again,

On a more on-topic note, I feel where you're coming from, CH was my first elite profession, Ranger my second. However, there is often a tendency for more veteran players to have this kind of attitude (which can really annoy newer players). On the other hand, the new ranger will be a completely new profession, the old ranger will be dead. So on that note I really understand your lament.
my alt is master ranger been that for while, my sister and I started a ranger guild on valcyn. I am caving in and goin MBH with my ranger to see what it is like. I love BH but loved ranger rifles more now i can have mbh and ranger. Sorry if I am just jumping into the fad, but for what it is worth i will let you all know on here what it is like. BTW I love this whineless forum way more than the jedi one, so don't let it get out of hand if you don't like the changes PLEASE!!

so all i can say is i hope that i am able to choose my combat support and not get stuck with carbines.
in your case, with a MBH/Master Ranger template, it doesn't matter what you pick. They are not going to make Ranger have the same pre-req as BH, so if they make the marksman line Ranged Support, then they'll pick a different scout line. Thus, whether it's Carbines or a different scout line, you will have 52 skillpoints remaining after MBH/Master Ranger and you can choose whatever profession you like.
also, I think MBH/Master Ranger will actually be a bad template for anything except NPC missions. I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on going Jedi hunting. So while it might be FOTM, unlike BH/CM, I don't think that many people will keep it.
I was a ranger a long time, then I got jedi and made my alt a loot grinder. For the ranger revamp I'm definately going back, possibly Ranger / BH if there are enough good mods to make it useful in combat otherwise carbines or rifleman ranger ![]()
(I don't expectranger to be good for jedi missions, except ifit get some really good snares and roots)
