I, like many others, happen to like a lot of the proposed changes to the profession. One of the things that I do not like, is the complete 180 in the way of going from totally creature-centric to pretty much totally PvP. I guess that comes from the fact that I have played Rangerasa hunter/gathererfor close to 2 years (Ranger is a lifestyle). I guess Iam being slighty stubborn on that point. I was never into the PvP aspect of the game before, so I will probally have to start now. I do like the traps they are planning on giving us.
Also, I have posted this earlier, that like most of us I believe that the "Stealing" abilityshould be a Smuggler's skill. I don't know how this fits into the Ranger profession.
I guess my biggest fear with this proposed revamp, is that our profession might end up becoming the next FOTM, instead of the most respected profession in the game.

well your posts wouldnt be so bad but what you just said like 3-4 times was you want to play a spy, a ranger is not a spy its a ranger, a spy is a spy so why not just change the new revamp into a different proffession all together, i mean sheesh they already did that anyways so might as well give it a fitting name instead of ruining the name the origional Rangers worked very hard to prove had its own worth.
QFE.
I hate the proposed change. More then I hated how useless they ended up making us. At least when we were useless we could still claim to be Rangers. What are we now? Hitmen? It's pathetic how they are pushing everything towards having a purely PVP purpose.
Some say this makes the profession somehow more modern, but i say If people can't imagine a universe where 100,000s of worlds are sporadically populated and expansion occurs as a result of explorers, daring frontiersmen, and pioneersthat previously true Rangers brought to this genre, then I don't think they should be playing this game -- they certainly shouldn't be developing it. The very skills they are cutting and either trashing orpushing off to scout are what are needing expansion in the Ranger profession -- not culled.

Dunno maybe Ranger will be interesting. Im sure it will but it wont be the ranger we have all come to think of. Guess its a Wait and see how bad they screw this one up.
