Thread: Deleted again?
Um, Owen? Do you think it was the information I posted above?
You know, 19 questions and all of that? They seem to hate evidence so very much, ya know?

Still, I can't help but feal as though they are actively deleting threads regarding this issue... the question is why?
First they moved it from Core to Ranger... that's fine I guess, though I believe that the issue will affect all proffesions so it seemed logical to be in the Core forum. Then to delete it from the ranger forums... Did I miss something, was thier an off-colour post? Can't they just nail the off-colour post? Add to it the final insult of deleting the thread that was asking you to use your limited omnipotence (LOL) to look into the matter. That thread was really not nasty in the slightest, that's the one that really confuses me.
I mean if there are new forum rules specific to not asking or questioning or bringing up certain issues that there has not been issue with in the past and does not stretch the bounds of common sense etiquette, I think we need to know. Otherwise we are left with the unfortunate realization that we are not to discuss anything that "they don't like". Which seems to fly in the face of recent posts from Smed and TH that claim the opposite.
I argue that since the deleted post (and the ones following it)were deleted from the Ranger prof boards, and had to do entirely with the Ranger profesion, then they should not have been deleted.

I'm thinkin' it was this information I posted. Let's see if this gets deleted, and put 2 and 2 together.
LOL.. Well, I'm going to put 2 and 2 together here. It was the name calling/flaming/attacks between Bio and Maxanto, nothing more. We're all better off that it was deleted. There wasn't any reason for that kind of post to remain, and a mod (not a dev or corr) probably deleted it because a user "reported" it.
It didn't have anything to do with any "evidence" that the devs or moderators "don't want us to discuss". Sheesh.. talk about consipiracy theories. Why Maxanto's post got deleted is clear as day.
Anyway, back to the original topic.. The thread that got moved from "core systems" to "ranger" ended up getting deleted.. but maybe it was something as simple as a mod trying to move it back and accidentally deleting it. It's happened plenty of times before. It sucks that it was deleted, since it was a civil thread.
Maybe that topic could be started again? (if kept civil, as it was.. and without comments about the first one being deleted.)

What does it prove though?
That they have good intentions that time has not permitted?
That Thunderheart is not allowed to tell us that marketing has handed down a software required change list and we are not on it?
I understand your frustration. Believe me. I understand.
But conspiracy theories, while fun, usually are not true. :shifty:The sad truth is just that they are probably too busy to pay attention. If someone reports a post in the thread as objectionable they delete the thread and move on. And this is just my guess, I do not know how they operate.
I have reported afk trolls in musician and dancer threads before and the mods have deleted those specific posts and kept the thread, but I have also reported an afk troll and they deleted the whole thread... and it was authored by the Dancer Corr! /coversface I felt like a slug! Now I just tend to ignore posts or threads that are nasty and/or panic-mongering. Let the trolls dance - by staying focused on what I find fun about the game I have managed to outlast a great many of them anyway.

Howdy all, just jumped on the forums today to see if anyone had anything to say about my Umm what the heck?!?? post about our ranger inquiry being deleted from the core systems portion of the forums. Well low and behold mine was deleted as well...wow intresting...but i dont beleive i was out of line by making such a post, i never said anything that would cause for any legality on deleting my post from the boards with no reason involved, but if they must, they must. Just wish us rangers would get heard one time =(

we DID get heard one time. on the health bonus. That was our one allowed 'you shall hall be heard'. we used it up and will never be heard again.

To clear up a few things... I got banned for it... initially 2 weeks... However I guessed the felt they were a bit wrong on their end and lifted the ban so I could read the reason "why" it was moved:
a) it never should have been moved in the first place, but deleted
b) reason: it could set off for "trolling/flaming"
Note: this I got from a pm form Mr. G. himself.
Well, that it did not happen is apparantly no excuse. Using a bit of reversed psychology never hurt anyone, and in this case really showed very truthfully and in my eyes in a rather civil matter that this is no way to treat the ranger profession. It's not for nothing the Smuggles stood (and are standing) beside us in this matter.
Just keep in mind: whenever you post something, if it can result into ranting/trolling/flaming, you will be accountable and can get banned for it.
PS: And on a personal note, Jokito, a certain blue glowy hates my guts...
