is it ready yet?
thanks NRaas....great job
For the lure trap I am concerned about its usefulness. Not in the trap itself but I can pull a creature out of a herd with bleed. You shoot a creature with bleed then leave it alone till the bleed takes affect then it comes after you once the bleed does damage rarely ever pulling BAFs, I first found this out once I started hunting Torturs and it helped since it wouldn't cause two to come onto me.
This prob could make lure not as effective as wanted, no?
Also, one thing I thought of when playing today...the ghillie suit is a great idea, but one suit shouldnt work on all planets since youd need different camoflauge for different types of terrain. Having a seperate suit for each planet would get a bit overkill, especially since they would be Tailor made, it would be expensive to buy one for each planet.
But, there could be one Universal Ghillie Suit, and you could prepare it for each planet through the radial menu and perhaps have to use a Camo kit for that planet. Mainly so that you could change the color of it yourself to match the planet your on better. Since forest camo would look a little out of place on a desert planet, and vice versa.
"But, there could be one Universal Ghillie Suit, and you could prepare it for each planet through the radial menu and perhaps have to use a Camo kit for that planet."
From the document:
- "A camoflauge kit would still be required to initiate the camoflauge effect itself, the suit would only enhance the bonus"
Though we are not actually applying the kit to the suit itself, a player could think of it that way. ![]()
"I just would like to see the ghillie suit actually look different for each planet when you use the camo kit."
That would be nice indeed. However, for the moment, I would simply like to see the ghillie suit actually implemented.
If the Art department doesn't make the colors change, a Ranger interestedin "just the right look" couldcarry multiple color variations around. ![]()
Just want to voice my objection in regards to the limiting of skills at city limits.
Municiple zones are fairly broken. The message of leaving them doesnt coincide with actually getting out of the zone, leaving us unable to know when we are ok or not ok to use our skills in a pinch. Further, most POI, in the wilderness are surrounded by municiple zones. The zone sizes also make no sense from city to city, with wilderness outposts having larger zones then starting cities.
There is little point adding PvP functionality and then restrict it to outside cities. In a week of fairly steady PvP I have fought out of a town only once. Unless you want to gank folks running missions, there is really not much PvP outside of city centres.
I understand the 'logic' behind it, ie what works in the wilderness wont work in the city, however why does this form of logic only ever work against us? I have powerful enough Tranquilizers to slow a rancor, but they dont work on a humanoid?

PS - you in Alberta NRaas?
