Thread: Is Camping In Front of Bridges Just Outside of Cities Considered an Exploit?

I would not consider this an exploit...Sounds like a good idea, a good way to gain Survival XP (if your into camp grinding). Back before Mounts and Vehicles this probably worked great as it took alot longer to swim across a river than to take the bridge and run across.
Since vehicles I personally don't even brother with bridges, I just take my speeder straight across any river, where ever i cross it.

I say this is just more oppurtnistic than an exploit. If anything you get to pick up the weary traveler now and then and chit chat and maybe even RP. It sucks that there are no roads in the game to camp along and pick up the occasional passer by for a quick supper, some wound healing, and a little conversation. Until there are more roads I say have at it. Anything that makes camps more than just a pet calling tool is good in my book.

Definately not an exploit, as people can always swim (and often do even if a bridge isn't far out of their way). On the other hand however, doing it to as a way to increase XP (not the reason you did it, I know)is rather crass in my humble opinion.

On my way back to town I noticed a group camping UNDER the bridge...I didn't even know this was possible. It did say I entered the camp too, even though I actually passed over it.

I don't personally think it is an exploit since it is much harder to get xp from camping at the end of a bridge than is it to grind camps. YOu are providing a service in exchange for xp. Otherwise medics and entertainers are exploiting med centers and cantins since they are hanging out there and leveling their skills by providing their services inexchange for xp AND money!
I also think that someone should have to earn Ranger Camp 4 (or any prof skill for that matter) before they are allowed to cry "exploit!" This holds true for all professions and especially to those who cry "NERF!"
