<< I think I would actually slip into a coma thinking about whether or not I should take that contract. 350cpu is a hell of a lot of money. But Tat avian means after 3 hours of hunting you've earned about 700 credits. >>
huh? I was pulling about 1.5K an hour of the stuff. I was a low level marksman at the time so the XP helped keep me interested. I just sat and got nuna lairs off the terminals from the outside of Eisley within 400m, rode back and forth harvesting. That's about half a mil per hour.

I would rather harvest more, than harvesting multiple resources at the same time. I have never ever felt guilty selling the stuff I gather. If someone offers me 135cpu for avian meat why should I worry for them? I do, do deals for guildies to help them out, but even then, I make sure that I get paid enough to cover my costs (brandy, accaragm, veghash, pet stim c's, wear and tear on stat clothing, wear and tear on pistols).

aren't there harvestor droids?
Yes there are! Now some may find the task of maintaining your droid not worth the extra time and effort, but with a good harvest droid, even master Rangers can pull in 5-15% more resources per kill. So in a way, Rangers did get a there harvest ability increased. It just so happened that it came in the form of a tin can!

yeah those 2 extra units of meat really save the day huh......
/sarcasm off
Master Rangers get little to no benefit from even the highest quality droids, however a novice scout gets a significant boost from them.

Maybe its just me, but I'd rather be able to harvest more as opposed to charging more. I feel bad when a crafter has to pay more than 50cpu for a resource (though I am guilty of charging 100cpu on an occaision or two, but the welfare checks just stopped coming in). This in turn, jacks up the prices on our supplies (armor for those rangers who wear it, foods, BE clothing, etc). I would much rather contribute to a reasonable economy than an inflated one.
Fact is, we're not super scouts, just buffed scouts. If they were to increase our harvest rating, we would be able to supply to crafters of varying incomes, from the newbie BE, to the prominent armorsmith. Everyone would have the resources they need and we would still have a generous income.
Bottom line, increasing our harvest would benefit all sides.

The only issue we need to consider in asking for larger quantities when harvesting is the effect on supply. More resources means lower demand and lower prices on what we have in the current economy.

I STRONGLY doubt this. One of the chefs I work for, could easily buy a million more units of any decent shift, and burn it up inside a week. How do I know? I sold her 600k of meat, and the next week she was advertising for more ( this is just one 12 point chef out of 10 or so who stalk the boards). Ever see an armorsmith actually say they have enough hides? Enough to last for awhile is 500k. Enough, enough is a million units, unless its a great yavinian wooly, in which case 10 million MIGHT be enough. I NEVER had enough hides as an armorsmith, of any shift. I traded armor, I paid credits, I bid in auctions. I never used up my budget for hides, and never got enough.

I agree. I have started collecting some items to supply a friend BE who has agreed to make everything I need for my wifes tailoring business so long as I supply the resources. I have hunted about8 hours outside Theed running gualama missions and only have like 6k if wild meat. I am shooting for 20k. I kill every ikopi, gualama and shaupaut I can find but still it takes forever.
Also, I noticed that I could really take care of business if I could harvest the wild meat I need and get the wooly hide for my wife as well. But alas no love...
Where is the 19 questions anyway?
