Welcome to the community of Rangers that wished we had more, but make do with what we have now. True Rangers we are.
Don't think of reaching Master Ranger as grinding. Learn from the experience. I gaineda lotof my scouting xp travelling to different worlds and checking out the scenery, all while masking scent or applying camo. Now I have all the exploration badges and a Master title
Its also fun to randomly pick a creature to hunt and go at it for a while. When the creature becomes predictable enough, move onto another creature. This helps build your personal experience with the game. By the time you reach master, you'll know what weapon to pull on a rancor without examining it. (Acid and Stun are my favs). You'll duke it out with so many creatures, you'll come to know what type of special attacks they have, especially if you've been diseased for 6 hours straight like I while hunting endor (stupid bark mites).

Welcome! It is a great profession and I have mastered it twice and have never ever given it up. Go for it but enjoy it. Find all that you can do, and by all means as you progress go for more dangerous and tougher critters! We all hope some day the devs will give us a huge revamp, but I doubt this is going to come anytime soon.
