Thread: PDart bugged again? Anyone else seeing anything like this?

I went out a couple days ago and decided to test the P-Dart after pub 23 to make sure it works correctly before I attack a Krayt with it and find out that the Devs nerfed it to trapping hell. I took a lvl 50 bolle-bol mission and threw the P-Dart on the first one to see if it actually slowed down. To my surprise it got beamed right to my location. However the next few times I tried it, it seemed to work well. So I thought it was lag.Interesting that fellow Rangers are having similar problems.

The KD makes them teleport usually, or doesn't even work at times. Occasionally I get lucky with it, but I try to use it sparingly for the reasons you gave. As far as I know the pdart works fine, seeing as I killed a Canyon Krayt just fine yesterday with them, and a few others the day before. Although I got hit by a lag-death yesterday fighting them as well, but that's to be expected.

As far as I know the pdarts work fine, and even perma-snare at times if you hit em enough times.

As to the amazing teleport, it's also in force if you engage at range sometimes. I shot at a picket at 64 meters. The next I knew I was inside of it, in like .01 miliseconds. The group laughed and asked if that was the curse of the Ranger, or was Scotty still around beaming stuff on me.

well, bugged and rep'd this when it started to manifest on TC. General opinion was that it was lag as Iwas on dial up at the time. Got broadband in, still get the creatures warping +60m, not to melee distance as you'd expect but to 0m. And no journey time.

Bug it, report it, let them know that it's in Live and it's not working properly.

Hm, tried hunting a bit tonight and found the problem you mentioned of them auto-warping when you trap. Learned it also happens with knockdown and npcs..and bugged it on either case.

Lets just hope that if SOE does "fix" adhesive mesh, they don't make the cooldown like grenades and you cannot do *anything* during the recovery and cannot throw *any* other trap during the rest of the adhesive mesh cooldown.



And while I am thinking about it, why is it such a big fracking deal if we can chain root when it does not work in PvP or on humanoids? There is not a creature out there currently that cannot be chain double snared for essentially the same effect as root and those work in PvP and on humanoids (electrolyte drain + any other snare = slow as molassass creature for nearly 2 minutes).
