Thread: do you consider yourself a master of a planet?

I'm not a master of any planet, not even a jack-of-all-planets as I have only been to Yavin and Endor once. Really makes me feel bad seeing as I am a Ranger again and was for a long long time before I quit. I was always waiting for Master Ranger to go thorougly explore each planet (which I would take several weeks to do) but I never got to it. One of my goals in all of my games is to always explore every inch of ground, so hopefully one day I can be a "master" of all the planets, and the space sectors as well...once JTL is released.

Naboo. Worked my Scout through the swamps in Beta and my Master Ranger to be, went straight for Moenia when I got the game.

Now, as a Master Ranger, I find myself bored in the wilderness. There's nothing there for me to do really. It's a shame.

I've been thinking about traveling Rori and Talus though. Never been there much

Talus and Corellia

Started on Talus, went to Corellia, made Master there. Went back to Talus to help form a player city. Realized that other than rasps, Talus is the bomb for PvE leveling.

My little out of the way secret.

Endor

I've spent a great deal of time there and absolutely love the varied scenery. Deserts, forests, mountains, even snow. There are veryfew places on Endor I haven't been.

I haven't actually been to all the POI's because Points of Interest are often less Interesting to me than finding a new animal or nice piece of environment.

Dathomir

in a lesser way, I used to spend a lot of my time here, and came to know it quite well. Lately I've just been going northwest to kill Rancors for my Pikeman levelling, so my mastery has waned.

I've only been playing since April, so I'm not really a master of anything yet...but I have spent most of the last month on Lok, and I've gotten that planet down pretty well. I'm only Novice Rifle/Novice Ranger right now - so I do still have trouble with those kimos at this point, but Lok is definitely my home for now.

Of course, I still havent even had a chance to travel to most of the planets yet. Ive never stepped foot on Endor, Yavin, Dathomir, Dantooine, Talus, or Rori yet. Guess I need to start getting out more.

There no place like dantoonie. The only planet that you can walk out of the door to be greeted by the stupid smile on the face of a graul before he invites you to be a snack.

I personally know alot about lok even though I don't enjoy, or use to, as much as Yavin. For example, I once found a strange crystal formation, alot like the ones on Corellia, on Lok. On my server Lok isn't as populated as most other planets and so this is something I like about it, but it doesn't compare to yavin in the old days.

There are landmarks on Lok? I ran around Lok a lot when I was harvesting (wheat)for my BE friend. I even did the 20 minute volcano run. Half way through I had to go get a drink of water. There was nothing but dust and ash as far as I could see.

I grew up on Talus. I remember the first time I soled a tortor. The heart-pounding excitement! And yes. Rasps suck. All their friends suck. Attack a rasp and every species of flying creature in a 100m radius comes after you. You can always tell the new players - they are the ones running in circles outside of Dearic with a cloud of birdies chasing them. And the angy deet deet! I was hunting on Dathomir when a friend tell'd me that he had soloed a rasp. I hadn't even tried toattack one for ages I was so scarred. I immediately caught the first shuttle home and killed a whole lair. It was sweet.

I love endor but I am in no way a master. And even on Talus I see new and interesting things.

When I started at launch I went the route of BH so I managed to get out and see every planet pretty quick. I'd talk with other bh's and they'd tell me to stay away from Endor and Lok because your targets could wander in any direction without heading to a city. This seemed cool to me and I'd go on 2-3 hour chases. I managed to see a bunch of future POI's. I remember back in august when I found the now named "Great maze of Lok". My name for it was "holy crap that's a big a** maze". I like my name better. To this day I've never brought harm to the npc that tends the plants in the center of the maze. He is a great friend. Always listens to me without judgement. Then there is Endor. After finding a couple Ewok villages I find a village that is incomplete and kinda suspended in mid air. Really strange looking. I love taking friends there to see it being it's not a POI. I wish the whole POI system was gone. Make exploring what it is meant to be.
