Watching the harvesting messages of Master Scouts in my group and feeling like a fool for the amount of points I seem to have wasted to play the only class that really interests me. And yet here I remain.......

1.) Our correspondent telling me that he succeeded in pissing off TH. (here comes another year of waiting) What the heck did you say Calc?

2.) Watching another player I don't know target me and do the dreaded slow stroll across the room, and my rangers senses go off the charts.....You sense a stupid question coming on.

3.) Being asked to track down a gorax.

4.) Crafting an HTFB knowing that it does absolutely nothing.

Nice ones.

And to add my own: Getting the trap failure message when throwing a trap at a durni...

- Hunting in a group to get my CH XP up

why? because it's amazing how incredibly stupid most players can be in a high level hunt on Dathomir. The very first Enraged Rancor wave they charge in as ranged people when we've already established I the Pikeman was the tank. Then they proceed to run away from me while crying for help. The second wave, they stand 10m away from the lair without any form of maskscent though I specifically told them to move away. I'd conceal em, but they'd get detected anyways. The first rancor spawns, goes straight for our only medic who was actually smart enough to go 50m away, the rest of the group proceeds to open fire at random rancors while I'm left to pick up the pieces and save as many people as I can, ending up with three of the eight people dying every lair, my pet only attacking every other animal for CH XP and me getting the blame for not tanking.

ugh... and then there was the time when one bloke caught up with us and started talking german with another one in the group.

basic point being that people generally don't know any form of tactics. They see there's a melee guy in the group and automatically assume every animal will attack that dude. Then they see there's a Master Ranger in the mix and again assume straight away I'll be able to snap my fingers and make a certain animal appear and do our bidding.

Man I wish I could get CH XP quickly on my own.

Calculus took my answer! I suppose that's not possible since he started this thread, but still...

There's a really good avian meat spawn on Corellia (Ahazi) right now. Some docs and medical corporations are offering 300 cpu. Yes, 300 cpu. I can't bring myself to go and hunt it. I just can't. I took a look at the DLT20a I keep for these things, and I couldn't bring myself to pick the darn thing up. I am passing on a 300 cpu hunt. 300! That's the highest price per unitI've ever seen for a resource.

I'm just chalking this one up to the best paying novice combat grind ever.

I think I can beat that... Right now on Tarquinas, the best avian meat ever (all three important stats in the 900s) has spawned...... on Tatooine. The only creatures on Tat that have avian are dwarf nunas. Ouch. But that's why we've also seen offers for 300-400 cpu on our trade forums. It is possible to get missions for the little buggers, if you have no unarmed combat and unequip your weapon. Still, it's killing me... At Master, I actually do harvest around 9-10 units on each with veghash with a 107 droid, but talk about slow...

Incidentally, new avian spawned on Dathomir on the very same day with all three important stats in the 800s... My new record for harvesting anything was on this stuff, as I managed to get a little over 37k off of the fliers by hanging out around the NS Stronghold over about 5 days playing for a few hours per day.

Things that make me cringe -

BHs asking questions. How do I explain complicated stuff in 2nd grade terms so they will understand? Usually I ignore them and they go away.

Rasps.

Uber players on missions. You know, the one who stands in one spot, attempts to kill a creature with a weapon that does little to no damage, gets ate, then whines we didn't heal him (invariably a him also) fast enough.

People who run to riflemen when being attacked. Run parallel to them, at their best ranges....duh?

Anytime a doctor (not including a small circle of friends) asks me to harvest anything. Sure, I can get 100k ofavian - it will take me - oh...6 freaking months ya dullard.

Kreetles.

BHs who want me to track a Jedi on Yavin, and we are in the starport on Talus.

People who call weapons "guns". I would like a shotgun in the game. But not even the LLC is a "gun".

Going to the Pistoleer forum. I hate math and whiners, so I seldom go. Also I can spell dual.

My personal favourite is being in a group and doing /areatrack, and proudly saying there is nothing within 500 metres of us.

Then wandering in to like a million various creatures spawning all around us.

Makes me look really good it does.

The amount of animal cruelty on Corellia towards birds! We need to do something. We are rangers of the Star Wars Universe. How can we let such stuff continue?

Darin, come to Talus, it is usually fairly rasp free.

I am not cruel, I just hate rasps. My friends know, rule #1, kill all rasps.

Things that make me cringe:

1) The person who sees your Master Ranger tag and wants you to track Krayts for them and won't take no for an answer.

2) Selling 1000units of meat/hide on the bazaar for 6000creds and the buyer sending you a /tell on how much more he is going to be able to resell it for.

3) Training a hologrinder Ranger skills. He/she doesn't tip you and brags about how they mastered Ranger in 1 week.(Took me 3 months the non-grinding way).
