i am a master rifleman..

when i was just a "rifleman" it was usefull.. cause i coldn t cleanse so asily big nests...

and while i killed a beast "harvey" gathered resource from the dead one (with a small increase)

now that i kill beasts in 2 seconds and a nest in not much more the difficult part is "to find" creatures

making the droid just something "slow"

I though the harvesting droid worked like a medical droid.

It would make you able to harvest more with the droid out.

I diddn't realize that it actually harvested stuff.

I named my droid, one of them - Fred. No, not after the infamous Fred Skinner, after the character in the old old Doonesbury, tho I do misspell it. (One trivia point for how that character spelled his name, and what was his profession)

Let's see, one battery per lair - yikes. My fighters needs one every two sets of missions.

Can't fight. Runs away. Musttarget and tell ittwice -I swear, the harvester droid is like a little sister, only worse, cuz you bought thefreaking thing and gotta maintain it.

To the riflemen (yes Ebe, so far you have not said you are as lazy as your brethern) get off your lazystomachs and harvest like real Rangers.

I agree, this harvestor droid is not unlike eggs, milk, foraging...we didn't ask for it, don't have a use for it, but we got it anyhow.

Maybe y'all should name them all "Rescue", and use them about as often as that skill.

Later, me and Hammer are about to kill another couple/four tortur lairs (Hammer is my #2 droid... 4 last I counted for those that want to know, tho one is for the med/crafter/storage skills)

I have a pretty crappy harvesting droid (harvesting rating is 17)and I still use it all the time. Yeah it harvests a bit less but it makes hunting way more easier for me. I usually go prone 40-50m from the lairs and plunk creatures with carbine or rifle. I don't have hard statistics, but I am sure that me and my crappy droid harvest more efficiently that I did beforeI had aharvesting droid. Yes, if you are pistol or melee hunting you're better off with your own harvest macro and no droid since the corpse is right there next to you after the kill.

For me getting up and running around looking for corpses after each set ofkills is annoying; and getting up, running 50m to the corpse, harvesting, running back 50m, going prone, and choosing your next targetis even more annoying.

Also if you manage your targets well, you don't have to wait very long for the droid to do its harvesting. Picking your next target to be the one closest to where the droid is works good for me.

As far as droid batteries go, they are dirt cheap. You could probably get a lifetime supply for about 10k. My droid always seems to run out of batteries when its right next to me so that doesn't really bother me so far.

Now all we need is a droid that loots npc's for you and we will be all set ...
