k i am being told that tka is a bad idea cuz it only does kinetic damage and most creaturs have high kinetic resist...

is this true?

Rifleman has always been a ran fav with Ranger due the our visual and known lore of "Ranger" types. That is a good class no doubt but personally I'm more for melee as a Ranger. TKM always nice with the kd and speed and the meditate line skills. But pessonally I believe 2H is the best choice to go with Ranger. Their spin attack is flat out the best in the game. Target the lair and just let loose. With armor and buffs and somethign worth while to get off pikets... can kill 6-9 at a time. Simple Clean Easy. Bonus being with melee and 2h spin attack wise most of the time the mobs are simple all around you after your done killing them so easy to harvest. Just be careful on the weaker species and their lairs or you will simple blow them up before they have a chance to spawn. The last good bonus with 2h is the fact that the happen is Blast damage based. Making this fun for pvp on AT-ST's and turrets. The only real down side to 2H is if you are doing pvp or factional missions, and taht being you do not have a KD like TKA or Pikeman do making if you are sole the NPCs run a lot.

Im Pikeman/ranger. Now,there is alot of uber-dot pikes out there,and DOTs is always usefull when u hunt. Pikeman isnt as good as Swordsman,but its good when you are fighting a number of mobs at the same time (Polearm Area Attack). Stun hits..Leg hits etcl... But,pikeman is the games big joke,but I like it with the combo of ranger.
