Yeah, the BF healing in a camp can only be done by a Master Entertainer

My first post in a long while. Personally when I was MR I kept the RS line simply because I do most of my hunting alone. Using your rifleman specials like conceal shot and mind shot 2 you can pull 1 at a time from a lair. The supression fire I liked having because it does stop most animals in their tracks. Gives me time to rethink tactics if needed. I get to big for my britches sometimes and have to make a quick exit.

Hiker, I remember you saying that you don't use specials. I think that is why you spend so much time runnng around. For me, if it has under 15K HAM, I can kill it with headshot3 in just a few shots, without even drawing aggro, then TAB and move on to the next target - all without having to get up from a prone position.

I did not know that. Thank you.

You can not heal BF in a camp.

Try doing that without buffs or chef food (assuming you don't have extreme human HAMs). Running around can be faster then.

I'm seeing a lot of "you don't need it" here. I was under the impression that Threaten Shot/Warning Shot in conjuction with Mask Scent/Camo was a fairly common tactic among the ranger/rifleman crowd. I don't personally have it (saving the points to level up Rifleman a few clicks first), but was certainly planning to get it based on what I had heard.

That depends on how people like to hunt. The safest and fast method of hunting involves /conceal, /prone, /headshot3, /headshot3, ..., /headshot3, /tellpet harvest (well, safest is probably /concealshot but very few creatures don't die from just headshot3). But you will need mind buffs (and probably health and action ones) to survive like that easily. The fastest way is to spam /strafeshot2 until everything is dead and to then run up and harvest. The more risky way (and the way I used to prefer) involves using warningshot and suppressionfire to keep the creature from ever hitting you. You can do it without buffs, armor, chef food, or a droid (if you time it right, they die at under 15m) but it will probably be slower and you are more likely to get killed. It's really a personal decision. Once you hit Master Rifleman, you can easily get the xp necessary for ranged support. Try it out and see if you like it. If not, getting medic (or whatever other skill you want) back is easy enough.

Honestly, I am in the run and gun frame of mind right now. I have a headshot macro that I use and it kills the mid level mobs so quickly that I don't have to worry about *ahem* tactics. I think this is one of the reason's why the Combat Thingy is necessary.

Brandy is a chef food, though. Without it, headshot3 only kills will lead to a lot of downtime. And chef food took a while to catch on.

Yes but Moun was around since the beginning. So basically, the only time you couldnt spam headshot3 was dutring the first few days after release, which didnt matter anyway becasue nobody head headshot3 yet. By the time riflemn graduated from CDEF weapons, smugglers were already making Muon.
