I'm not the richest Ranger in the galaxy. I'll admit it. I just broke 2 million for the first time ever last night.

Thing is though, that I CHOOSE to be poor. I made a sale last night...

Bit over 70k of the Dant wooly that just shifted out. It's been selling for 100-150cpu...and now that it's gone it'll probably go up.

so that would have been anywhere from 7mil to 10.5 million for the average seller. Consider that it's likely gone up now, I might have made up to 14million creds.

Total price was 1. 4 million. I choose never to sell above 20cpu. This is something I learned from Fred Skinner and I'm happier because I know that I'm helping people out. We are all rich in different ways.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Mineral resource sellers are the richest.

Where do u think they got the 5 miliion to pay u per Jedi? Artisan professions are by far the richest in the game with less time spent playing. JustG or TH mentioned that the richest players in the game reach into the high billions. THat 5 million per jedi isn't much when u consider the number of hours that it will take to find each of the creatures they are looking for, for the jedi trials. If it takes over 5 hours (which it will) then you are wasting your time. Any combat profession can do missions and make 1 million per hour.

Changed my mind. I am rich.

I got back from a singualrly overambitious trip to Endor with a teeny bit of herb meat. Offset against fares and buffs the mission fees meant I came out 'slightly' ahead.

Out of the bus in Espa, toddled up the hill to the house. See some damage figures pop up in the sky. Some poor kid getting mauled by a squill.

Now, I get a lot of weird stuff on my hill, terraforming Imp bases, the local thug / hermit clans annual convention, plaques of nuna. But not so often do I get squill, so I made the assumption it was the lads mission and stood back, lobbing heals.

Not fast enough as it happens, he went over hard, so I drew the squill off a ways, stuck a mind bleed on it then warned it off. Gave me time to bang some meds into the kid and check if he wanted a hand.

Took the squill down to 1 Mind, so it pretty much stood there like a moron, gawking at us. With mask scent on I could walk right up to it and pat it on the head. Pretty squilly.

Lad got his kill, completed his mission and went back off to report to the NPC and get his reward.

Me? I got the nice warm glowy feeling of knowing I'd help a new kid, stopped him getting too badly mauled oh yeah, and got myself a little harvest bonus and xp too

Yup, that's me, Differently Rich. LOL

If I can tell its a new artisan trying to get started, I have no problem selling resources cheaply. I do enjoy helping anyone out. But if its a rich rich guy I know or hear of, and he's offering big credits, I have no guilt in racking up some big bank notes..

Just got up to my first million in the bank this weekend. Of course, its now about time I look into getting some new armor, new weapons, and more brandy/canape/ and perhaps some synthsteak. Easy come, easy go.

Don't get me wrong...I have had a million before (purely from donations), but then I needed to restock my Ahrisa and Brandy stores.

brandy does a number on my money supply, but I also try to be a big tipper. If a doc has wound packs on them and heals my wounds for free, I tip 15k. Someone was sitting around doing buffs (master doc, too) for 5k, and that included the poison/disease resists. I bank-tipped him 10k just for being a "true" doc...he sent me a tell to wait my turn and I told him I wasn't even waiting for a buff. I just liked that he was being nice. He buffed me twice that night, no charge. Nice guy. and I always overtip entertainers who buff at the keyboard. I usually pay 15-20k for total ent buffs. If it's someone who's always been there, I've been known to tip even more. And the person who buffed me through my BH skills got a very nice 75k tip when I finally got master.

Other expenses are usually just houses and the occasional armor. I've bought 3 sets in 7 months. oh and weapons, but with vibro-knuckers I usually don't spend more than 6k.

Pffft.....not as bad as trying to get a pair of boots that aren't pink after the starships come out. Pretty much every crafting master is gonna start grinding starship related items.....

There will be massive chaos as players attempt to kill each other before he/she can click "buy" on the lone vendor that "ISN'T" selling only starship parts......

At fanfest, a question was posed to the devs as to how much a person would have to have before they were considered "rich" (for the purposes of discussion when they were discussing the in-game economy). Answer: around 100 million give or take.

By that definition, there are only a very few professions where many qualify in that reguard:

weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, doctors (yes, doctors), chefs. That's about it. smugglers and tailors *giggle* wow, those are two of the very poorest professions imho.

Are there any rangers that claim to be "rich" by such a standard?
