I find foraging very useful for keeping my stable of pets fed. Saves me quite of bit since I don't have to purchase overpriced pet food.

I dunno, if you are suggesting that the foraging ability is a big cost saver I'd have to strongly disagree there. Pet food is *so* cheap to make. I make boffa treats. Just throw a little bit of grinding wheat into the factory and out pops crate after crate of them. I also sell crates of it for 5k which is like 100 uses, practically a lifetime supply for a buyer (I believe I'm maybe on my 2nd crate for my own usage, some months after picking up CH), and even at 5k/crate that is a big markup over cost. Petfood is pretty much free, only difference is that you can store them in a crate.

Actually this was one of the first reported bugs. The infamous "rare item = full inventory message".

Given that most of our other stuff is borked or broken, and the Devs would actually have to add code to give us rare items, we recognized early on that this was gonna be a low priority for them, not us.

With our luck, we will just be getting bigger onions anyhow.

I would love to see rare foraged items. Trouble is, I would like to see it for Ranger only. Not Scout.

How about new foraged items (again Ranger only) that another profession actually wanted. Perhaps to enhance a crafted item.

About the only decent thing I forage these days are those onions. Trouble is...with the new foods, if you eat your own stuff, you are too full to use the chef ones.

actually you can get rare items before the ranger ability.. chances are just slimmer. also, i have found that foraging rare items depends on the spot more and your skill modifier less. if you go to some parts on talus/endor you can get rare items very often. i went to a spot and foraged hoping for some food for my pet. 5/6 times, the stuff was discarded. could have just been bad (or good, however you see it) luck though.

The rare items are meant to be Ranger only. I don't think the inventory full bug is only for the rare items as scouts get it too. And no one has proved that inventory full=rare item anyway. It could just be extremely bad luck for all the posters on the boards that they only forage rare items when they end up getting the inventory full bug.

If you read the description of, what is it? Frontiering 1, right on the skill page it says, plain as day, that we *gain* the ability to have a chance at foraging a rare item. That *is* a ranger only ability. Too bad it does nothing, lol.

Has anyone ever foraged a rare item? If so...what?

I forage all the time waiting for shuttles, I get 500 credits an onion, why I don't know, plus I get 100 credits for bait, again, why I don't know.

Still...not rare items.

The onions are good. I hide them from my pets.
