Thread: Outdoorsman proposal or not?

The outdoorsman proposal has some great ideas in it. No doubt about it. But it tries too hard to cling to the notion of the original scouting tree and its skillset, and for that reason still makes us nothing but slightly more powerful scouts. When you look at it from a skillpoint standpoint, the camping and trapping lines of ranger would still be extremely undesirable (in my eyes) on a skill-point-spending bases for what is proposed in that proposal. I think if you picture what a ranger would be like if he had that skillset, and compare him to a scout with a bunch of combat and medic experience, the ranger would still be a very poor hunter by comparison, and that's what I'd like to see changed primarily.
I personally like what Nrass put together with the Outdoorsman proposal, being that that is truly the first and generally comprehensive outline placed within this board that i have seen. On that alone I would vote A.
I agree.

My personal opinion is C. (See my Infiltrator post for a basis of my views if you're curious.)
However, remember that this proposal is written considering that the devs want us to be the 'Ultimate Creature Hunter'. They are very adamant in that view. N'Raas didn't necessarily agree, but was told this is how it is going to be. To get away from that, we have a very long, hard, up-hill battle against their vision.
Considering those contraints, that is the document that was delivered to the developers. We aren't going to get even half of it given to us as is, so how can we suggest fixing it when we do not even know what parts of it will be used?

My vote is to leave it as is, A.
Lets see what the devs decide to do
