I'm too lazy to check my posts on it but I think I match up with Vorpacks, Novice in August or so and Master a month or so later.
Never ground a single box of ranger!

I think since 1978.
Oh! this game. Silly me.
I only recently mastered the profession since I quit SWG not long after I became a novice. Since I've come back it's been all ranger all the time.
Ranger is my lifestyle. I played one since old school D&D, heck I even played one in Asheron's Call; a game without character classes.

I started working towards Ranger since my first day of SWG just a short time after launch. Mastered Scout (obviously) then continued the Journey ... real life move (and lack of computer) forced me to take a break from Nov 2003 to Feb 2004. I mastered Ranger shortly after returning to game in Febuary 2004. I will always be a Ranger ... I love it!

Made novice ranger about a week and a bit after launch and ive had it ever since and mastered not long after that along with rifleman.
so id say early July 03
Like so many other rangers, its been a very long journey over the last year and more, but been fun none the less.

Well, I just did a forum search and lo and behold, I Mastered Rangeron 4/8/2004!
I knew I was going Ranger before the game came out (for some reason I always play a Ranger type)
I'm tyring my hardest to not drop Master... doing the Force Sensitive thing and was thinking of dropping Pistols for Lightsaber 0/0/4/4.
IfI have to, I'll retain the Tracking line and pick up Force Healing and Master Lightsaber....
but, since I don't grind and am only a casual player, that plan will take a long while.

So far, it looks like SolrFlare and Owen-Lars are the oldest of us.
I was starting to think that I was crazy for holding Master Ranger for as long as I have.
Of course next to SOE yanking it. I can't see myself ever dropping it.

There are a few others our ancient age. But not many of us old timer Rangers are left that have stuck with the profession from the get go. A few have come, gone, and come back again. Calcs an oldie, Fred's an oldie and there are others too. And, if you go by how long you held the master title, I'm certainly not the oldest still playing. But I am getting up there in the years
*waves his cane*. Now skedaddle ya youngsters. ![]()

Well have been scout since day one, and have held master ever since I made it. I had the intention of becoming master ranger when the game launched and did that. I only recently, like a week ago, dropped master and got rid of the camping and trapping lines. Wanted the SP to play with something else.

I think even people who didnt get ranger until later on found that once they did get it, ranger simply fitted in perfectly with how they play normally.
Its definatly a life/playstyle and i would expect the majority of us to have found that once we tried ranger (even if it wasnt what we always wanted to do) it just 'felt' right and thats why alot of us stick it out.
Plus we have a few old stuborn rangers who refuse to change professionson general principle

I started as a scout with nothing else in mind than being a Rangerette
. Must have been July or August 2003 when I mastered Ranger. I'm still master Rangerette and after I heared that I can't drop the FS skills to gain back the skill points after you get your second slot, I'm not going to temporarily drop my master Ranger.
