Thread: Proposal: The Hunting Terminal

Altho I don't see the reasoning behind limiting it to only scouts and rangers.
I would think it would make more sense to have it either not limited at all, or limited to rangers only.
As for the boss creature idea, save that for /track.
Just wanted to reply to these three points to,
In opening it to scout I should have been a bit more clear. My thinking was to make it available either to Master Scouts, or scouts who finished the Hunting tree. The reason for this simply makes the options available for BEs and CHs as well. CH could greatly benefit from being able to find these lairs, and BEs could use it to track the meat and DNA they might need to get a hold of a bit easier. Though I'm not opposed to limiting it to Rangers to make them the "go to person" on these rare creatures, I did think it would be helpful to the entire Scout community also.
On the idea of /track, I think this idea is a great one. To some degree I almost feel that leaving boss creatures to this skill might make it more interesting. As Calculus has outlined it, the ability to chase big creatures and the threat of having it backfire, really goes hand in hand with inherent skill (thus /track) for the terminals my ideal goal would be allowing Rangers the ability to find those rare creature types (war, enraged, polka-dotted) that give us the high yields that the more commonly spawned versions deny us.
Like... a war gronda which gives more resources then a dwarf Gronda.
In the meantime thank you all for your positive feedback,

By guaranteeing high end Mobs a Ranger could effectively guarantee high yield harvests on a per mission basis. With the Loss of solo-grouping this might also benefit the community by granting more "elite" missions that required a Ranger's expertise to start.Perhaps, if this was implemented, it could tie in with a Ranger's "Creature to Hit" modifier and give the Ranger a bonus above regular mission terminals. Being able to fight a tougher creature would be a possibility, needing a strong group to get the job done would be a guarantee.
I agree..the new Corr will ahve to make sure to point this out to the devs...again
