Thread: What's in a name (OT again...I am a pain)
Using the standard formula, mine would be "Nesud Nav'kin" - your name backwards, with an apostrophe thrown in for good measure and any contradictory letters removed. What formula did you use?

Mine is far less simple than Silicon's unfortunately (which is a great name btw, very Sci-Fi for some reason). My daughter came home with this formula for making your own "Star Wars" name after being on the internet at a friends house. She knew I had pre-ordered Galaxies and was insistent that I use "her formula".
Alas, I had already invested way too much time into Oppma when I decided I wanted to change the name, and soooooo , here I am. lol
Some variation of partial last name, partial first then mothers maiden and city you live in ...both partial. I think....

I actually heard the forumula was the first sylable of your middle name, the last two letters of your first name (or from your last vowel out), and then the name of the street you grew up on.
Alan Church was mine, how corny? lol
Going with this formula, my name would be... Ales Heiser. Not bad I guess. Too late now though.

That would have made me Dame Edgebrook...I don't think that works for a 7' male lizard
All my Sci-Fi chars have Skinner in the name. Usually that is enough but this game keyed on a first name only (how dumb is that btw... last name is stored but the first must be unique?). Sense I went Human (Skinner does not lend itself well as a Wookie... Well, then again...) I tried to make it "human-sounding".
Any alts I use will probably be last named Skinner, if they are human. My handle in Mechwarroir, the place that I really got started with online anything, was Skinner there. It sounded Mercenary-like, and the game I played was MW2:Mercenaries. Man, those were some fun times
. It was the days of X-Files too, and we had a Mulder and a Skully in the unit (one of the few female players that did not use Natasha as a handle... long story, you have to know Battletech to get that
).

That would make me Wilan Westway.
Um, no.
