But throwing sand in their face doesn't help regardless of whether they thirst or not.

And on the issue of offering solutions vs. ranting. You know what the ranting gets you? Nothing but an ignore from the devs. They've done it in the past to other professions, and make no lies to hide it. In fact they flat out have said the more you flame and whine, the more we ignore you. There's a reason why BH hasn't been touched in so long by the devs, and it's not because other issues are "more important".

Ummm since when did the Ranger community become nothing but flames and disgruntled members? What happened to the days of Nraas? Anyone? I come back, and yeh I'm happy to see Calculus take Nraas' place, but what the heck else came in the door? Don't tell me not even the Ranger community is subject to the ranters, ravers, and usual BS'ers we're so used to seeing on the CH and BH boards. This used to be a respectable community. Of course it was full of respectable veteran members.....

It still is respectable, it would help it you catch up on the forums before being the flamer. Ranger and many professions are broke. Development of all new content must cease until those professions are fixed. Fix it or remove it.

If the wind of truth be offensive then I shall revel in its stench.

To be "broke" as you put it, something has to not work. Last I checked everything in the Ranger profession worked. Maybe not to one's liking, but it does work. When you throw a trap, it does it's job. When you set up camp, it sets up. When you track, you get the intended results. Nothing is "broken". Just because it does not work the way one wants it to, does not make it broken. It simply needs improving.

By the way, no I havent posted in a month, but that does not mean I haven't been "keeping up" with what's been going on on this board.

Welcome back.

Catch up on your reading though. You will see that everything short of terrain negotiation is broke or bugged. I may not be popular for being vocal but I think you will find most of the forum will agree with me on this. Camo and Mask scent break way too often and for creature that clearly shouldn't be so successful. Camping does not work as described--scyks and kreetles will agro through a camp that is supposed to provide a barrier to aggressive creatures. Areatrack is bugged for many reasons including spawning issues and player cities. Creature harvesting has been given to droids. Traps are way too inconsistant and many including myself feel bugged and or broken. With that I bid you good night.

Agree. My traps wand camps work. I can sneak around Darth with Mask Sent on. I look forward to improvments.

Good Hunting

Most Rangers disagree as do most who have left this dwindling profession. If you enjoy a broken profession enjoy, I want it to work as proposed, get fixed, or removed. I agreed to memmers to reduce the number of threads so I ask that your responses for this dialogue please transition to the "Rangers are useless--Chefs agree" thread or "State of the Profession".

Thank you,

Serraphin

Back to the original question -

Doubt it, Calculus has an IQ several points above the average room temperature in an igloo at the South Pole. TH on the other hand -

you fill in the blank

Serraphin, all that you listed except the droids have been around for much longer than the month Puck has been away. We all know that there are problems, but yelling, flaming, ranting, and being an ass aren't going to change that. The ranger community has always been a group of rational thinkers. Instead of yelling and whining, we come up with clear, concise ideas of how to fix what needs fixing. We also need to realize that the developers have priorities. Chefs, DEs, Smugglers, and Squad leaders have received less attention that we since launch - we we've gotten two entire new skills added to our profession since day one. Sure, ranger is not what it should be. But your extreme vocality about issues this entire board already knows about helps nothing if you aren't willing to support yourself with ideas to fix the profession.

I say again catch up on your reading before you flame. Everything you ask for including a "rational" discussion for one clearly as irrational as yourself is available in other threads. You clearly didn't read this thread. Proof. Read a little further as I will repost something you missed just a few posts above.

Serraphin,
Please read all posts before you make a statement on behalf of “Most Rangers” Looking at replies to your posts and it seems you are not being flamed for WHAT you state, but HOW you state it.
I agree any bugs need to be fixed, but how you come across seems a little harsh. Please post where and how your experiencing bugs, others will also post if they get the same result. Then Calc can add to our issue list.
I do not take happily to anyone posting to have our profession closes due to some bugs so I want to have it said…

Please look at and try to fix bugs, however do not get rid of the ranger profession due to the complaining of one person.

Not sure how much you think your helping the ranger profession for the way you post about issues, but in my opinion its now helping a bit.

Calculus can accomplish nothing. Thunderheart does not listen because the only viable proof we have is lip service. The bugs are well known as you can see from other posts in the "State of the profession" or the "Rangers are useless--Even Chefs agree" threads. There is only one recourse fix ranger now or remove it.
