10 CPU is my low price. I'm still fairly new to the game and my Ranger on Kettmor is 2 2 3 4 and I spend a lot of time on Rori and Dantooine just getting combat XP. So what ever hides and bones I don't craft w/ I sell in Cornett for low 10 CPU and no more than 25. Unless it's a new meat or hide that is specificly being requested for a set CPU. My stuff always sells to, I've only had one time where my hides and bone didn't sell, I reposted them and they all sold the next day. It's not a lot compared to what other proffesions get, but it's nothing for me to log on, check my mail and find that I've sold 35-55,000 credits worth of hides or bone. Like I said, it's not a lot, but for a Ranger who really keeps to himself in the game it makes for good fun!

Oh man I just dumped about 150k units of stuff on the bazzar for 2 cpu over a few days cause I needed to make room for the good stuff, lol. It was nuts I couldn't stock it fast enough. This was affter I filled my factory hopper with traps and camps. Stuck some them on the bazzar too... fast as I could stock them man, lol.
Just 3 months worth of crap I had from harvesting the good the bad and the ugly, and didn't get sold used.
Bank hard on the good stuff and you won't care if people are selling the rest for 0.1 cpu.

I chose Ranger and Creature Handler speciffically to be able to survive and have fun without credits.
I have never sold for over 3cpu since taking up scout and usually just give it to friends who in return supply me with whatever I need. If I find I need credits on demand I launch my fighter, blow things up, and sell the salvage. Way back when, I had a charecter that sold 1000 quality Talusian water for 6cpu and still feel guilty about it.

I am totally aware of how hard I work to gather resources, but I don't feel like going along with your plan.
If you feel shafted for letting yourself sell your resources for less than you wanted, that's really just your problem. I'm really not into selling stuff for pure profit because I'm just not like that. I gather, give stuff away for about .5 CPU or something and that's about it. Rangering to me is much more than just selling hides or tracking down people for those wannabe Jedis out there.Anyway, I guess you can count this ranger out of your plan. Butgoodluck to you anyway, I hope you can get what youwant from all of this.

Let me clarify. I have always sold for 10 CPU, I'm not going along w/ a price fix or anything. Lots of other Scouts and Rangers I meet when I 1st began suggested this price, because thats what you can get. Most of my stuff is just bought or gatherd for someone grinding anyway. And while 10 CPU isn't the cheapest, it certainly isn't the highest either. I don't feel it's a matter of greed as much as it is a matter of economics. If the hides stop moving at 10 CPU I'll probably drop my price, but until we'll just wait and see. : )

I harvest everything I kill. Usually, 9 times out of 10, the resource is crap.
What I do now, is throw all that crap resource in my recycler, put it on my "Grinding Organics" vendor, and sell for 1-2cpu depending on the amount.
I don't play Ranger to make money, I play it to have fun.

lol yeah, but i usually end up bartering AFTER i give it away...
case in point-- cara', the tailor on my server to whom I gave 2 schematics and some crytalline treatments, ended up making the uniforms for the Antarus Academy for hunting and Fishing. Of course...that was after i had already given her the stuff lol.

I'm with you Phenix. Tonight I hunted for 8 hours, got a bunch of 990+ Avian and 900+ Herb Meat. What am I gonna do with it? Sell it for 100cpu? Nope, prolly give it to a doc friend who helps me out. All that grind hide and bone I got tonite, that's going to novice artisans. I find if I scratch your back, in the future you'll scratch mine. I have 20mil in my bank, and don't need any more. 10 cpu? I do what JB does and undercut all of you and outsell you too if I choose.
I'm a Ranger because I love to live Ranger, not because I want to be rich.

If it's just stuff I picked up doing other stuff, not something I was on contract for or seeking out for my shop, I'll sell it dirt cheap or give it away. Or if I've had it a while and it hasn't sold, I'll do the same. I've put stacks of hide ranging from 10 to 5k units up at 1-2 cpu before, just because I felt like it, and I've given away plenty of meat and hide to people I know. (What's ironic is that the 1-2 cpu grind stuff will sometimes sell *after* the 10 cpu grind stuff.)
If I'm on contract, though, 1-2 cpu isn't reasonable to me. 5 cpu for Dath stuff if you're a regular customer, 8-10 otherwise. 10 cpu for all others, going up according to supply/demand/quality. (Maybe it's good to note I'm also all happy to trade if there's something you have that I need. Chef? How about a couple crates of brandy or veghash for this meat? Cheaper for you, cheaper for me, we both with.)
In my store, if it's in bulk (1k+), I sell stuff starting at 10 cpu. I get people going, "I only needed grind wooly! That's way too much, even quality metal only goes for 5 or 6 cpu!"
They forget that to get 100k of grind metal, yousurvey, drop harvs, and go. Okay, that's simplifiying it, and I should know that better than anyone, but it doesn't take a lot of attention. If you have static harvs, it's about a 20-minute time investment total. To get 100k of a creature resource, depending on what it is, takes a Master Ranger anywhere from four to twenty hours. I'd rather get paid more than 50k for four hours of hunting, especially when I paid 10-18k for buffs and ate 15k worth of veghash, canape and brandy. So I think equating creature resources with mined ones is innaccurate and doing Rangers and Scouts a disservice.

I put meats and hides on my vendor anywhere from 2cpu for junk and 50cpu max for the good stuff that comes in good quantity. I have the higher prices due to the prices docs/chefs are charging. I'm in touch with a few of the docs/chefs/be's on my server and we are on good working terms. I dont do contract work for them... but I hunt whatever trips my trigger at the moment that is fun and has good stats. Loot can make ya rich... but I'm stayin away from that rat race. If your in the business to make money from harvesting... its good business... just dont get absorbed in the cash flow of things.
