Ranger Archive

At this current point ranger is definitely the only profession that requires mastering of a basic profession. We are along with CHs the only fighting profession (I state it this way because we are not classified as a combat profession at this point in time) that does not get specials, signature weapons, bonuses to defense, and weapon use such as accuracy and speed both specific and general, which every other fighting profession does get. This is also true of the direct combat support professions such as doc and CM. They get some of these also. I don't have a complaint with their getting these things, my deep concern is us not being treated fairly and equally since our entire profession except for fishing demands fighting. And this does not mean just fighting creatures either, since npc factions all over can and will attack you if they are aggro or you have sufficient negative faction points in their faction, not to mention if you happen to be either an Imperial or Rebel you can and will be attacked by the opposing factional NPCs as well.

So the SP and lack of bonuses really puts us in a very difficult place as far as anyone desiring to either Master Ranger or do much beyond just dabbling in Ranger. Thus we all need to test and keep reporting.
