What are the requirements for ranger after CU- do you still need master scout and if so wouldnt that be the only proffession that still is mandated to be a full lower level master?

Is Ranger able to respec along with the other proffessions that are said to be Combat related?

Also what level are rangers with and without a combat proffession?

sorry, I'm missing something:

1 Elite combat profession = 106SP

Master Ranger = 140 SP

Total of 246SP

No medic novice, nothing other than this! Is this intended? Sounds a big nerfing to me!

I don't think any of us have a problem with Mastering Scout, but as it stands, since we are the only profession that now has to do this, and we don't get specials or bonuses to defense, accuracy and offensive attacks it all adds up to us falling more and more behind, which is why some of us are upset about it. Not because we want to get rid of scout, we don't, we want to be treated fairly and still be rangers.

You don't need medic to use the bacta shots, so that is not a serious nerf. What sucks is I will have to find a medic to heal my wounds, or sit in a camp for days at a time. Oh well.

I will miss medic, but not all that much.

Bacta Shot IS novice Medic. But there are plenty of Stim options based on CL which can be used in its place. The current high level stim is pretty strong.

As JB says though you'll need to find a healer or put up a camp to handle Wounds.

Yea I dont understand it......as it is right now ranger takes up more skill points than ANY other prof yet they get no def mods at all.......Just doesnt sound right to me. If it takes up the most skill points over any prof then they really need to make it worth it becuase it will be come the most elite prof (skill point wise).

Let me direct your attention to something TH recently stated: "We are also working with the teamto put together a great many communications on all of the things you want to know about: the future of the immediate changes to the combat system, entertainers, rangers, squad leaders, crafters - - all of these issues are getting read and reported on."

Right now Ranger is in transition. We'll be seeing some good things in the future though. Our role is being examined and thought out in ways that we might not have previously expected. Who knows where they're going, but one thing is certain. Thanks to Owen and JB the Devs know that we're interested in something bigger and better than what we've been dealing with. Right now alot of the things that are Ranger don't appear to be getting much attention, but I think in the background we're being looked at very closely.

I believe healing wounds is a Doctor skill now, so having medic wouldn't help with that anyway.

Wait a minute you mean a medic and a CM could not heal wounds without being a doctor? That doesn't make sense. Are you sure about this? Just the term Combat Medic should implythe ability to heal wounds in battle.

I have been around for a really long time as a Ranger (since while SWG was in beta) and I have heard this a lot. I really want to believe this is more then talk. We have seen a few things over the last 2 years come to Ranger, but they are very few, and there has constantly been supposedly talks going on, and the "wait and see" given to us. I will wait, but I am not too hopeful. I would love to have to eat my words and see some really well done overhaul, updating and gifting to Rangers! So once again I will hope, but you all really need to continue testing extensively and keep all us informed and keep posting in the TC forums as well. We need to be sure we can fully say we have given good input to all this new CU.

Personally I think this new CU has some great potential, but it is so far reaching and changing to the current game, and is so far from being ready I wish they would postpone it and let is continue testing for at least another month beyond the deadline for RoW to go live. Of course they have never been willing to do this before so I doubt it will happen now, which all the more means we need to be in there testing and testing and giving all our findings.
