BTW, any pistoleers care to give me a Pistols 101 lesson? I ashamedly admit that I'm a respec Pistoleer.. :/
First off, what server are you on? I'd gladly help u hunt sometime if you're on Lowca.
Now on to business.
This isn't really a Pistols 101 crash course, more my own strategy and whatnot. Might be a little different from you, as im a Master Pistoleer Master BH.
Pistoleer is great for applying states. Confusion shot applies Stun/Dizzy. Hmm, i think all my other states like bleed, blind, and intimidate were all BH skills. Anyway, Advanced Stopping Shot is your friend. If you've got a big meanie out there, hit him with that, and he'll be rooted for a good bit of the fight. i typically keep Advanced Body Shot as my default attack, as i have a low action-pool cost weapon, The Trandoshan Supressor Pistol. It's got a huge damage output, and low action cost. i believe it's base DPS is 328.
Basically the best advice i can give you is don't use Fanshot unless you want a bunch of things aggro you at once, and try to keep any states you have applied to the critter. Dizzy and/or Stun makes a huge difference in battle.

I just started a new character on Wanderhome.
Wanna work my way up to Rifleman/Ranger.I won't be a little punk.
El'sha is the name.
Cool.
Have added El'sha to my list for WH.
Got to say tho, I've somehow managed not to play my WH bothan in a couple of weeks, wonder how he's doing, lol. Been too busy getting toys for my main on Bria.... guns, arms, ARC-170
Less "ranger" more Inspector Gadget...

Not exactly. Confusion shot is a BH skill, intimidate shot a pistoleer skill (the other are correct tho :-P).

'Ancient Krayt Hunter Badge Group forming up! Jedi hands held for 500,000 credits each!'
They can afford more than 500k. I hear tell the devs put a 5 mil weekly stipend into every jedi's bank account, so the need for moneymaking doesn't intrude upon thier swingin' lifestyle. Which is totally unfair, because they asked for 10.
I've been in some groups that needed educating myself. Seriously, it ain't that hard. I can draw a single creature with a trap. Let me do that. No, don't shoot the lair. No, don't engage them next to the lair you just shot-- more will be popping out of it, and they won't like seeing you shoot their roommates. Tell you what, you guys back off about 70m from the lair, and I'll pull one at a time to you. I can do that with my traps. No, don't shoot the lair...

I noticed recently that Dath has a few CL 75 mobs, notably the Malkocs. I was doing my Phase 1 patrols and noticed them around the Village I think. I don't think they were social when I attacked, so multi agg may not be a problem.
I also play City of Heroes, and there are plenty of things said aboutPickup Groups in the forums...

I have noticed that some SWG players are not accustomed to tactics, because groups were never actually used except by friends or Solo XPers. In CoH its almost the opposite to here. While there are certain Player Archetypes that can solo, most need at least 2 or 3 grouped to get the XP they need.
So yeah anyways...Dath or even Yavin has some CL 65-70 mobs not far from the Mining Oupost you could still take on for 'fun'. I also was harvesting some scaley out on Yavin and noticed about 3 squads of Imps followin me. So if you are of the right persuasion you could always take on mobs of a different flavor.

According to the pistolieer 101 warning shot will debuff defences by -80 though.
