Thread: Melee Rangers?
I was a Pistoleer/CH/Master Ranger for a while and it was boring, so now I am giving up the first 2 and training fencer. Fencer are awesome- they are the ultimate tanking machine because nothing can hit you at master with center of balance on. Admittedly we don't have meditate or do as much damage as TKA but we get other stuff like bleeds.
I am only fencer 0101 and already I can beat up much more stuff than one third of the way throughpistoleer, and I no longer need a pet to do it. With buffs and muon I can easily tank my way through a sharnaff nest. Without buffs I beat up some bull banthas last night easily enough. When my new ubese is ready (it's 70% kinetic) I will be far tougher, at the moment I'm using some awful 30-35% stuff.
I just find it much more exciting being able to charge into the fray and start hitting stuff! Leveling does seem slower though.
