Thread: Wannabe Ranger..does race matter?
---I have the dissavantage od starting out as an artisan Twi'lek. So my Health is 600, Action and Mind over 1000. Basically, a Twi'lek that starts as a scout -vs- one that starts as an artisan has better heath and heath regens. The artisan has better mind and mind regens. Thats the contention. So I was real lucky that I choose rifle as my weapon of choice. So at least I can fire from far and run like hell No very manly, but its less humiliating than running out of a cloning center every 5 minutes----
Just migrate your stats to what you want

I believe us lizards get the harvesting and knowledge bonuses. Wookiees get CH bonuses. Nraas can back me up, or discredit me on this one.

Bothan
- +15 Camoflauge
Trandoshan
- +10 Harvesting
Wookiee
- +10 Trapping
- +10 Rescue
, im sorta a dabbler ranger wise (love the hunt master skills), so ican get lots of meat to give to the BEs in exchange for pet stims , and tracking skills
is the +15 camo only effective for rangers, or does it apply towards the maskscent skill for scouts too?
I totally forgot about the +10 to trapping and rescue, I chose wook cause of the promised stat boosts (lies, all of them) and the fact i can be a ranger with a BOWcaster.

The camoflauge bonus only applies to /conceal...
- Supposedly there was going to be a /maskscent bonus as well, but it seems to have gotten lost in the woodwork.
I am a bothan ranger, but seriously I am a bothan because they fit perfectly with my bio. One thing I would recommend for any dabbler or serious ranger is maskscent/camoflage tissues made by BE's that can be added to a shirtby a tailorfor a nice bonus when worn. The best out there is plus 16 to both stats. Like most professions any race can make a decent ranger IMO. Ranger has had the very best correspondent work donewhich is partly why I have never regretted going ranger, even though I gave up the trapping line and master block.
