I am a Twi'lek. My HAM bars for health and mind are the same, with a much longer action bar. (I think my health/mind are at 800 or so and my action bar is over 1000).

I think it's great to be a Twi'lek scout. I'm a pistoleer and the extra action costs for using the pistol help even out the damage to my three health pools. The large action bar also helps me when I need to burst run. Woo! That has saved me a few times.

I would probably boost my health costs by sacrificing mind, if I was you, unless you use a rifle (which I think zaps mind? I don't remember).

I have the dissavantage od starting out as an artisan Twi'lek. So my Health is 600, Action and Mind over 1000. Basically, a Twi'lek that starts as a scout -vs- one that starts as an artisan has better heath and heath regens. The artisan has better mind and mind regens. Thats the contention. So I was real lucky that I choose rifle as my weapon of choice. So at least I can fire from far and run like hell No very manly, but its less humiliating than running out of a cloning center every 5 minutes.

I play as a Twi'lek, and have found that the extra action is very handy. The bonus in agility and quickness has been a real help. Granted, my health goes down faster, but I take my time and isolate targets, letting the health regenerate inbetween.

Race, or as SOE calls it, species, doesnt matter much for Ranger. The only one that makes a difference is Bothan because of bonus ot camo. I play a bothan, and I also have a low health bar. My action is the highest with mind about same as health. If your using rifle your mind will get drained a lot, so your high mind is good. If using pistal and traps, high action is good. You just learn to keep things away from you.

[You do not understand the body language he is using]

/language lekku It's working fine for me, as a Novice Ranger Twi'lek. That action bar rules with all my trapping and bodyshots. Heh..

Im a Master DE, trying to work off my geeky image and move to where the big boys play. My character is a Twi'lek. Lots of Action and Mind, but a real wimp when it comes to Health. Anyone play a Twi'lek Ranger and has it been a problem for you?

Thanks in advance

In terms of being a Ranger, there isn't really much of a requirement in terms of stats or race. It's how you get there that matters. What combat profession you choose to compliment your advancement through ranger plays more of a part. So you could be a Ranger / CH and be fine with using a Twilek. The only thing I've noticed is that throwing traps can drain your action pretty fast. Bothans get a bonus to camo which can help but i dont think it's the be all / end all to making a ranger.

I was half expecting to have to completely wipe and start over again . I have Novice Rifleman so I do carry some punch from a distance but I get smoked PRONTO as soon as they start moving towards me (-50 Blahhh). So I will getsome CHand pet to do the dirty work and keep me from soiling my panties too much

Oh no =( another CH... haha j/k. I would tell you to use traps to keep them at a distance but that isn't as effective for a rifleman because of the throwing distance of traps.

Wookies get a bonus to harvesting i think. And really good stats.

But, I don't think stats are that important for a ranger. Afterall, your skills are in avoiding things and remaining hidden.

It is pretty easy to advance in Ranger. So, Pick an avitar that appeals to you and go with that. You will have to look at that cartoon for a long time. Might as well be something you enjoy seeing.
