You get my vote......Explorer terminals are already in-game and could be modified for this which makes for a quick and easy patch for the devs.......simplicity.

If they ever fix the spawn "issues", I'd love this but I'd rather not give the Devs any excuses to avoid having to look at those issues.
It's a tough nut to crack and I have a feeling they'll never commit to seriously look into it .
Soooo... maybe this idea could help move some of the 'creature-centric' away from Ranger as a profession ( and SP sink ) and make room for other things.

Read the Outdoorsman 2.1 proposal-- It's under the "Geniuses at work" sticky at the top. It contains an ideasimilar to this one.

I will have my pet aggro then I call my pet back to me..bringing the quarry in..75% of the time he brings me 1 creature..the other 25% I get 2-3 but not the entire lair. Im also about 40-50m from the lair. My alt is a Master Doc/CH..so my combat skills are Null and Void.

Yeah ive always like the idea of being able to take missions that need us to hunt down certain things, sort of (like you said) BH missions.
On a similar note i would realy like some ranger quests to do that further your progression in the profession (/tiss cant touch this.......). Sort of like advancement beyond master that would enable the devs to implement an elite elite system without actually adding new professions or massive new features, just extra skills picked up by doing certain profession related quest or using quests to unlock certain areas of training.
