You should just have to type the following:

/chatjoin RIN

RIN may or may not be the channel name...someone from Bria would know the exact name. And, of course, I might be wrong on the syntax of /chatjoin (it might be /chat join).

Come on Bria peeps...help a Ranger out .

There is/was a chat channel called RIN, but I have yet to see anyone on
it other than me. As much as I love talking to myself, I prefer to do
it in spatial so everyone thinks Im some crazy Ranger from the backwoods.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a shot, but it looks like I'll only be talking to myself or Oceas.

/chatjoin rin

Nice. Up until now I just see a ranger occasionally at the uller extermination zone, we'd stop and chat. Ilike the thought of us having a channel to ourselves.

Kudos to whoever started that up!

You should just have to type the following:

/chatjoin RIN

/chatroom join rin

It can be shortened to /chatr join rin though
(see bottom of my sig)

Also /chatr who rin will list members currently in the room, and /chatr will list chat room commands.

Honestly, Trigger, I'm in a similar boat about returning to Ranger (was a Master loooong ago, came back to SWG three weeks ago after a 1-year hiatus and Ranger's still just as broken). I know exactly what you mean when you say you want to roam the backwoods alone and be a capable outdoorsman.

But honestly, Ranger doesn't give you that- and now with all this nonsense talk about the devs combining Ranger and Squad Leader, it sounds like Ranger's possibly moving away from that romantic vision of a lone outdoorsman into an outdoorsman/leader type of hybrid that really doesn't fit most player's view of either profession.

If you really want to be an awesome outdoorsman, simply get Master Scout. All you lose from Ranger are camo kits - which don't work most of the time - and Tracking, which is actually kinda fun but has such limited range and with the spawns not actually appearing until you're on them anyway, is pretty much a cute novelty. Ranger traps aren't very useful and certainly not worth the cost when Scout traps are much more versatile, and Ranger tents are just resource sinks as the Scout tents are just as good and much more realistic in terms of something an awesome outdoorsman would actually put together.

I'm a Master Scout and found a lower level Ranger who would make me crates of the Novice Ranger's High Quality Camp kits, my personal favorite camp in the game as it's actually *tents* and not steel and polymer.

Bottom line, Master Scout is the way to go, IMO. Mask scent (works as well as camo, lol), useful traps, realistic and cool camp kits, and some good harvesting bonuses.

Ranger's simply not worth the cost unless you're a real diehard. I was, at one time, but got tired of all the big boys flying by me at hyper speeds while I figured out how to turn my measly remaining SP into something actually more useful than the Novice skills they were based upon.

It's in another post up in this forum. It has largely been debunked, although paranoia persists..!

I know this is off the subject, but you were talking about having a lot of PDarts. How do you make crates of them, or do I need to be a crafter to be able to use the crafting machines to make crates of darts? Please help a fellow Ranger.

Another thing to keep in mind about MR is having the traps work.. tonight a friend master scout. me MR did some tests and on level 80s and over my traps stuck much more than his.. His camo broke much more than my kits. this was tested on dat and dathomir. So MR might not be all that.. if use traps from what i see master scout has alot tougher time gettinmg them to stick..just an observation
