Honestly Oceas, everything on that subject is really up in the air. If you hit the Rifleman forums you'll see that some fixes are coming our way from that angle. As far as ranger goes... man we just are plain broke. Best thing for hunting we have going for us ranger wise is our bonus to harvest. If that's your game, then best to group with a ranger buddie to get an additional bonus. If you really don't care about how fast you bring in the harvest, then solo hunting is the best.

I got a post or two about how I hunt. Here's my clicky.

I'm fine with waiting a while to see what happens. Mostly I want to just get involved

Cool, I wanteed to make sure no one had sold you a pipe dream. THat being said, read up on all the stuff here. Go out and do some hunting grouped and non-grouped. Try out the timings of the traps. Try all the traps. Notice the things that work and don't work. MAKE A TON OF P-DARTS. Get a fishing pole and forage up some worms. Learn the art of placing that camp just right. Turn off all chat and go on a hunt or ten. Join the RIN channel on Bria. Take advantage of the respec and try pistoleer/carbine and the melee ( then come screaming back to ranged!)

Find out what your style is. That's the most important thing to determine.

Out of curiosity, does Ranger conceal (camo) stack with or aid Rifleman cover in any way?

Does cover work in pve, or pvp only?

I, too, am looking into Rifle/Ranger.

Something I read yesterday and last night tested.

To get Advanced snipershot to work more often (yes I know its fixed in next publish) go into 1st person mode and make sure your target is centered in your view.

Last night I was able to get Advanced Snipershot to work almost all the time while I was hunting. This includes on the side of hills and NOT laying perfectly flat.

Once Pub 17 goes live hopefully this won't be necessary anymore.

RIN is the Ranger Information Network. Its the place where rangers should go to share info concerning hunts, what is the catch o the day etc. Usage varies by galaxy, but when don correctly its an awesome way to pick up contracts and bum around with your fellow rangers and get to know your crafters.
