Now for smugglers; they would be able to have the same conceal effect that rangers would, BUT they would have to buy the camo pack from a ranger (they wouldn't be able to make it them selves). This would provide rangers with a small income.
Eh...see again the problem with this is that you can't hide in the city wearing a ghuilee suit. You are made MORE obvious by it. A smuggler would have their own technological solutions to concealing themselves, which wouldn't work in the wilderness. That way, you would have to have a smuggler AND a Ranger apply camo to you to be completely safe.
I can just see a Smuggler whipping out a Ranger kit and applying mud and sticks and bark to somebody else and then going "okay, you're all set. You'll blend right in when you go into the city now. Enjoy!" not too realistic.

Yes and having X amount of Jedi running around isn't (unrealistic)?
That's relevant how?
Look, I agree not everything in this game has to make sense in terms of the real world or even the Star Wars movies. Yes, between Espisodes II and IV there were people hunting for the Jedi and they massively reduced their numbers. Yes, in the TRUE Star Wars, there weren't many Jedi, but since 9/10th of the people playing this game WANT to bea Jedi...it'd be silly to turn down the money.
But to give a proffession whose own proposal of identity (though admittedly old) is called "The Outdoorsman" a camo kit that can cover you up in a city is just plain silly, in my opinion. The same camo kit, whether applied by a Ranger or Smugger should NOT work in a city or indoors. We are a wilderness based proffession. No matter what type of Ranger you base your character on (Antarian Ranger, Lord of the Rings Ranger, or even Army Ranger)there is NO way that any of these views would have the ability to make a camo kit that can cover you up in a city out of hide and meat. It's just not gonna happen.
I'm pushing for the city camo idea to go to Smuggler for two reasons: 1) They need loving and this would give them a neat new ability in a city. Are you a covert Rebel who just got exposed by a search? Find a smuggler who can camo you until you can find a Rebel to make you covert again. Accidently start a fight with a Rebel in Moenia and need to be hidden. Find a smuggler. 2) GIVING THIS TO THEM HELPS US. The more skills that are given to others, the more WE can ask for. The stealth proposal is based on the way the game is played and if the smugglers get in-city stealth, then....there is no jusitfiable reason the devs couldn't give us wilderness stealth.
Again, it makes no sense to have a Ranger make a kit out of bone and meat to hide someone inside a city. There's no monetary benefit for SOE, so, unlike the # of Jedi problem, there is no reason to go against logic, since there's no lucrative reimbursement. As for in-game money do you REALLY need creds that bad. I'm not a power player and I can keep my bank full enough. No, I can't go buy a Krayt Dragon Pearl, but I don't need to. I simply know how to have enough money. And believe me, even if I COULD make tons of camo kits, I wouldn't do that to make a profit. I'm a hunter. I kill things. I don't like the idea of being paid to mass-produce camo kits. Factory runs? Crates? ugh. I hand-make each camp, trap, and camo kit I use. Yes it's more time-consuming but if I wanted to be a crafter, I'd become a Tailor.
