i was wondering, since i hit master ranger the other day, and after having some fun with the conceal kits (good fun walking nicely through the janta cave if we would be able to use correlian camo kits in the corvette missions. has anybody tried this yet? i wasnt sure if it would work or not becuase of the elitness of the missions, and the fact that its in space and not actually ON corellia, but if it did work it would add great ease to a group running the mission with lil aggo, since we can conceal against npc people as well. i was thinking do all the pre-equisite missions, then conceal you and your party before accepting the mission and heading into the corvette, that maybe the mask scent will stay active for atleast a bit of the journy?

anyway, any inputs as to whether this has been tried or not? or a link to a previous threat perhaps?

I have +148 camo (without even eating food) and they still see right through. I have been able to walk by assassins, henchmenand battlebotsa few times, but SBD's are immune.

It would feel more than wrong to me if camo actually worked on the corvette or in the death watch bunker.

It's an outdoor wilderness camo, it shouldn't help inside a spaceship or in a bunker :-).

If you started as a Scout in KotOR you got a stealth belt, and could sneak off the ship at the beginning.

Yup, but that was some technical stealth device, unlike our nature made camo :-).

but in THAT game, scout/ranger were thought of as a stealth unit

Yes, but in that game they didn't have creatures to harvest...or sock monkeys!

Oy. Until we get the stealth proposal through, camo shouldn't work indoors. When/if we do, we should have to have a stealth unit (like in KOTOR) to use indoors. A steath suit that hides you in the swamps gets you shot at first in an all-white room.

Personally, I'd like to see Smugglers get the camo in cities/buildings. We should get stealth outside of cities. Thus, a SMUGGLER would be able to hide you from view (with advanced electronic equipment) in a city, or, if you left, the camo would dissappear and you'd need a Ranger to camo you.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

What I would like to see, and I beleive its perfectly viable too, is to increase our damage against creatures while concealed (not Mask Scented [I beleive that is fine the way it is]). It would only work outside for rangers, since rangers tend to be outdoors away from cities anyway. Now for smugglers; they would be able to have the same conceal effect that rangers would, BUT they would have to buy the camo pack from a ranger (they wouldn't be able to make it them selves). This would provide rangers with a small income.

But then again, I have been a ranger since July 2003 (briefly retired it for 2 months, now I'm working on it again), and I havn't seen ANY changes what so ever to the ranger profession. So as I've said in the past, the Ranger Profession forum should be renamed, "Wishful Thinking Forum".
