FYI, I have only been on the Rebel Corvette, so different faction missions may yield different results.

Well no wonder! You're overt on the factioned ones, the other faction should attack you regardless.

OK, it appears that Corsec are on at least one of the Neutral missions. Will my +5000 faction nullify their aggroness? I doubt it, but that would be great . And no, camo doesn't work.

I have not gone on the corelian corvette yet. I am wondering if our ranger skills serve any purpose on this endeavor. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I wonder whether ranger skills should help us on the corvette though -- at least as our current skill set is defined. I mean, if there is any one environment that is completely and utterly foreign to us, it is the corellian corvette. Everything is perfectly clean; there are no plants anywhere (at least I didn't see any), not even any mold (well, I never found the kitchen). I mean, I can see that argument that camoflage should work against npcs in the wild because there there would presumably be a bush or something to hide in or stick on your head or something (or at least mud to rub on your face), but what are we going to do on the corvette, strap white plastic panels on ourselves and hope that we pass unnoticed?

And imagine how laughable the corvette would have been if the devs had made it so that every profession had a starring role -- well, first you have to have an entertainer distract two guards named bubba because your group needs to get into the botany bay and have your bio-engineer sample the banna plants so that your master ranger can use said plants to make camo kits for your entire party so that, etc....

OK - that actually might be a lot of fun...

Maybe I'm just in a grumpy mood tonight - but the tone of this thread seems to be "Rangers are useless" (*yawn*), and this doesn't seem that fair to me, esp. given the task at hand.

yes and no .

As someone who has as of now 5 corvette badges (an older screenshot here http://www.lanparty.de/misc/darmok/corvette_badges.jpg that only shows the three imperials) you can trust me, you can fight. a lot (according to some guides you also seem to be able to do it without any fighting at all btw).

And yes I was of help, my ranger skills were of no use there ofc (honestly... everything else would be plain wrong imho anyway, we are wilderness types, that thing isn't exactly our area), my rifleman skills especially with the dxr-6b on the super battle droids helped quite good :-).

We did clean all of the corvette just because there was enough time left after completing the missions on the two easier ones (the neutrals were much easier, less resists all over the place), the imperial ones are not fully "cleanable" I think, I guess this might be comparable for the rebel-version.

One thing to mention...The Corvette is all about figuring out where to go, fighting is not an option if you are trying to do the missions. These are my opinions and may not be like yours, but I think they are valid. The only useful skills on the Corvette are healing (moderately useful since everything tends to hit for much>1k) and Feign Death. Feign is not foolproof, but my smuggler buddy managed to go through twice without losing his buffs.

As far as Ranger skills are concerned, I heard if you walk, you get aggroed less. I thought that maybe crawling would be even better. Neither of these theories hold water IMO .

I am going with my guild a week on Sunday. I have quite a good record for not dying as much as prehaps I should (no armour, no buffs) so I look forward to seeing how I get on.

I recommend armor and buffs for the corvette.

(One shot incaps due to armorholes are not that incommon even while buffed, being unarmored might end up in dying to three incaps in a matter of minutes)

I just finished the corvette mission last night, and the only thing that did any good was the +melee/ ranged defense gained at master.
