Thread: Now bounty hunters want Area tracking without getting Ranger
I would say how I really feel, but would take a JB/Darianne enforced holiday again.
Suffice to say - BHs have no call to ask for anything beyond the meager one line of Scout they now need to make BH. Big freaking whoopee, they can harvest. And that is all they should be able to do - period end of report. If they want to areatrack, they can easily master BH and Ranger (freaking duh - someone wanna scope out my template??)
And before the screams and hollering - I was, past tense, a MBH long long before most of the current crop of BHs ever considered playing the game. I gave it up to Master Ranger and went Master Pistoleer with it. Now I am once again considering dropping MBH for Pistols, as I found a new AS that kicks much butt, and frankly, MBH is a freaking joke.
Ok, enough said. They will whine loud enough and the Devs will pander to them just like they did the Artisans. On that note, no camo sold here.

Ironically, I've semi-sarcastically talked about this before.
The fact that rangers are getting so poorly treated, I reasoned that Ranger be deleted and our skills shared out between scout, commando and BH.
The fact that such a case can be made shows how urgently ranger needs it's revamp.
And btw, not "Bounty Hunters" want areatrack, ONE bounty hunter asked there, not all of them
People will always want more power. Why else is jedi so popular?
Most people are pretty reasonable, even bounty hunters
They don't want to make ranger useless, they just want to make their profession more useful. They won't give BHs area track, that isn't their nature. They can track their target, more precisely than rangers can track anything, but that's it. There is no basis for bounty hunters to be able to track creature and npc movements that aren't relevant to their mission.

I was seriously impressed by the response from the non-rangers and former rangers in that thread as well as the later response by the original poster. I might be wrong, but I beleive him when he said he wasn't serious. I am content to walk away maturely, quietly and flame-free.
