Simmer down now. You'd be surprised. Shoot one grouse and seemingly 5 more spring out of the same bush that one just landed in. Jeesh, the hostility. And wouldn't the smaller world provide an argument for a shorter range of tracking? Please, this board is devoid of the usual flame fests and I apologize if my post seemed to lean towards that tone. I was just saying that the 500 meter radius of areatrack seems more than adequate to me.

You do realize that a circle with 500 meter radius is 785,000 square meters.

Try sweeping the entire area and see how long it takes.

What about leting ranger track while running or at least walking ( whats wrong about tracking while walking i see that all the time in movies and reality )

And plz make track as u dont have to do it for each direction to get accurate result

i will answer that u can see lair up to 256m on ur radar and target mob ( using next target key ) up to 128m, running around doing so can take less time then having to stop and track each direction and get only approcimative result as the mob not always spawned, just my tho

AHHHHH, Yp used math on us. A pox upon her. Math bad.

But really, waypoints are for sissies. If you need a waypoint to find an animal, go be a hairdresser. I mean it. I can see how artisans would get them, but Rangers? On a moving animal? Be semi-real. It's part of the fun to find the beast... I can follow an arrow with the best of them, or the worst of them... let's keep some challenge to this!

JB

waypoints are for wussies

and yes, I can read a map and compass, and often turn off the stupid arrows and go and find the place on my own

New lairs spawn at about 100 meters out, forget 256. Even if they did you'd have to travel 250 meters in 8 directions from your starting point to use radar to scan a 500 meter radius.
