Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishings and congrats to Camina/Springbok for the feat.

Fodder650, definitely did not find that out before, but will take heed. Sonic pulse has been my favourite lately but I usually only use 1 trap per critter. Gotta try.Akalla, I agree that your words carry wisdom. As an aspiring TKM the tanks will not benefit me but healing can mean the difference between living and dying. Weird, but I never thought it from that perspective, just saw that I have the xp ready for it. A bit n00bish from my part, I admit.

All of your words have warmed my heart.

But now it is time to grab a few z's before I get back to rummaging the countryside.

Be well all!/BR/Tarrks

Congrats!

I recently switch my combat class and now am Master Ranger TKM CH0300 (0 skill points) and am loving it. Put my pistols in a droid for storage until after the CB, and finding that I can like without medic as a TK Master quite well

MonsofoLexius (and anyone else who has something to voice out to the following musings), do you play buffed a lot? In all my time playing I have been buffed less than 10 times and have used medpacks to good measure. Is the damage mitigation in TKM level so much that no healing skills are needed? I plan to go unarmored (altho I have a couple of sets of good armor for different occasions) once I master if at all possible. Also I have dying count below 10 too so far. I am very much into PvE, not PvP in the slightest. Further I tend to pick critter missions versus human/humanoid missions.

I just sent out a mail teaser to a few tailors to make a custom BE clothes for my graduation as TKM but I wonder if it is feasible to expect to survive without healing + unarmored.

FYI my fisrt Master Elite was Doc (second was Ranger) so I have had access to buffs for a long time, I used to buff the subs for HA on my pets for auto regen while they were tanking. SO Buffs may be more of a way-of-life for me than for others
/edit

While I do play buffed quite a bit now (the if you can't out-harvest em join em thing) I don't find it a necessity, as a TKM I can heal wounds very quick and regen damage well, cure poison and disease. The "powerboost" in TKM takes 550 (of my 1100 mind) and "buffs" my HAM primaries by that much for like 10? 20? minutes so I find that usefull when going non buffed. I use low level armor (bone, ubeese, whatever) with decent kinetic resists and low ham costs when unbuffed and going for mass graves. I do find musician buffs the best for me to use as it allows me to use more of the specials, which as an no-medic un-buffed TK you will find quite helpfull, Intimidate - Stun - Blind once stacked well the critters do far less damage to you.

But as buffed (Doc and Musian) and food usage with Power Boost I have gotten my HA to 4K with over 2.5K subs with close to 2.5K subs on mind for the super-tank Monsofo for the large scale PvE

Well when I first read that book before launch I looked at two pages more then others. Bounty Hunter and Ranger Well the BH never happend and finaly Ive made Master Ranger. I Love the Camps and People stop by all the time when they see it me sitting there with my two kitty's

They say these words alot WOW is this your camp? Heard that 10times today on my first day as Master Ranger. Being a former doctor I know if a good spawn of avian on the right planet comes through, I can see the money rolling back intot the account.
