Well, I don't know about all these Rangers leaving, but I'm currently working my way towards novice ranger (so close I can taste it). I'm not new to SWG, but I am newly back. I originally started close to release as a Droid Engineer, and left when I refused to continue funding SOE when they publicly said it would be 3 months before they even *got* to the DE profession. Now I'm back, this time working towards Ranger/Rifleman. So, while some big names may be leaving, some new, less known names are joining.

And some "new" rangers aren't new at all. Some are lurkers here and returning to the game after a long absense. By that criteria, that makes me a "new" master ranger on Intrepid.

Well I guess I think I'm glad to have made your theory right. /shrug, to bad it's on the departing side of things.

Like Vuri, I am also close to becoming novice Ranger( stupid AP). I've been lurking on the Ranger boards for a while and I can't wait to start to add some ideas to the group. Everyone seems nice enough and I look forward to joining in.

A little while ago, there was a post(s) about how there seemed to be an increase in the Ranger population. I had mentioned that it was cyclical and that there would be a Ranger die-off. Well, the die-off is happening as we speak.
It is wierd now that you mention it. I've gone through cycles of playing and visiting the forums, but one thing I usually notice is there a lot of different faces whe I come back. It's refreshing to seenew interest in our profession, but of coursehard when everyone leaves again.Another thing you notice though, is that not everyone follows this cycle. Nope, some of us are Rangers for life, (for better or for worse.)

Perhaps on all other servers the cycle is at its declining point..
as for Bloodfin, its ranger fest '04 as far as Im concerned. and yes Im including trackers, but stil there's a lot more new ones recently. and they're so rude too! someone came up to me at the bank saying "teach me now".. I say please ask me nicer.. "teahc me plz"... I just gave in..
another tihng funny happened. Iseult and I are standing in front of the starship, talking, and someone comes over and says "omfg, too rangers in the same place??" and he continued on to say how "we make terrible fighters". right, move along fool... we just laughe dit off but what I'm trying to say is that it seems at some poitns there's 50 rangers near each other and others 1 or 2.

Isnt bloodfin fun? But the good side is that we Rangers dont act that way. Its how people act towards us.
Long live bloodfin! Where credits are worth less then water. Excuse me while i have my weaponsmith get his 4000 C12's done to able to afford a tape

Er...back on topic. It is sad to see people go, but change is part of life. Its the only constant. While we will notice their abscence, the community is resilient and will continue on. I don't think stagnation is possible for this motley crew.
