Would i do it again? I wont plan for it but it will probly happen again
Moral of the story? Dont drink the green fairy after you have already been drinking. It has a very distinct habbit of kicking in all at once and when you least expect it.
Oh and though im sure a few of you have experienced alcoholic poisoning before, for those that havn't: Its not good.
I went travelling around the south of france a couple of years back and ended up being there for Bastille Day. Some friends I'd made invited me up for lunch at a scary french guy's house who shot tin cans after lunch with a pump action shotgun whilst moaning about tourists... Anyways, he got out some home-brewed 25yr old Absinthe... that's the last thing I remember.
Next thing I know I'm lying, leaning on my arm, next to this camp fire surrounded by all these people I've known over the years, and it's night time. I stare into the fire and then everything goes black, pitch black. As my eyes adjust to the light I realise I'm staring at my tent wall at 3am, I'm in my sleeping bag, fully dressed with my boots on, it's two days later and I've got no idea how I got there....
